Salford were always going to be the live game, at least this way it won't look like they were the only reason it was selected.

Fair point that. On a side note, I wonder how many sub 100 away followings we get at Home Park this season? Looking at the league, I can see at least 4 or 5 who I expect to fit this narrative! Bad times

I went to a game at Home Park years and years ago when the opposition, I think it was Chester, brought precisely three fans. And there were several times three years ago when the match was dull, one of my lads counted every away supporter.

Horrible set of fixtures for me given that I had 7 new grounds I wanted to tick off and all but 2 (one being Salford which I’ll struggle for a ticket) has fallen on FA Cup, international or weekends that I had something pre-arranged. Fixtures are decent for me happy days.

Home over 2 games at Christmas and as away opening game of the season I wanted someone away that’s undesirable and far away, hit the jackpot with Newport.

As opposed to us, Mansfield home, living the dream!
