Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Well that wasn’t dull, both teams eventually going for it. Boreham targeted our youthful keeper when they could ,have some sympathy for him, chucked in the deep end, but small mistakes can have big consequences. Wood have some decent forwards but look a bit fragile at the back. Need our “strikers” to fulfill their job description, relying on midfield for goals and assists.
Need consistency, but don’t we all.
Nothings ever certain in football, but Sutton surely won’t blow this, they have the perfect combination of tactical simplicity and pragmatism ( and getting in the ref’s ear).

Ah well win some lose some. Still in touch. Onto Sutton next week. Hoping that can be one of our good games and not bad ones
Ah! I see the problem! I think a bit of Kipling's essay on manhood will help you get your mind right- "If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster, and treat those two imposters just the same............". Winning and losing are outside of ones control, you can only do your best and if you've done your best there can be no grounds for reproach, whatever the outcome. You're welcome, chuck. :ds:

We were pretty decent today I thought, we're playing without confidence but we looked pretty powerful along the back and wing backs worked well and midfield was as good as it's been all season. Strikers not looking very potent though.

It was better, for sure, but still relied on two long range bangers to score. We just don’t create anywhere near enough chances.

Sutton should walk it from this point, so many crap teams in this league and enough games against the bottom half sides who have nothing to play for will see to that. With no relegation that early holiday starts now for lots of sides, you see it so often when teams become safe and can’t reach play offs.
Not too sure about that, Woking played 2 upfront against us and just went for it as they have nowt to lose. Barnet weren't as bad as they have been at ours either. King's Lynn as well.

If anything teams with less pressure could give you more of a game.

We’re the only team you can make any kind of convincing case for being able to get close because we’re the only ones with games in hand on Sutton (two assuming Dover’s results go), but it’s a case that collapses if you’ve watched us for any length of time this season.

We wouldnt gain a game in hand though it will just mean 42 games not 44. obviously teams who beat Dover would lose points.

We would, because we’ve played (and lost lol) to them while Sutton (and Hartlepool I think) haven’t played them at all. Obviously it also means fewer games left to make up the gap. Needs sorting soon anyway because the table is all over the place because of it currently.

Marvellous 2-0 win.

Have Yeovil furloughed all their players and not told anyone?

Injuries to 3 or 4 crucial players within a couple of weeks coupled with not having the resources to replace them has scuppered us. Very frustrating as we'd got ourselves bang in form and then it's been wrecked again.

Sarll sounded very downbeat and was highly critical of his players after the game, not a great place to be in as we play each other again tomorrow night. Still, this being football and the NL, you’ll probably run out 3-0 winners!

He can be very harsh and doesn't mince his words. I'm not sure any of the injured players will be back in time for tomorrow so it could be more of the same.

Pretty solid first half from us, ready to pick to the pace from the 60 minute mark again. We're the fittest team in this league. :ds:
How did you get on?
