Will we be the ones to put the final nail in the coffin of the golden Monkball era?

I would say anyone's best chance of beating us is to be a negative grindy "men behind the ball", big lads up front, win the set pieces kind of team.

But I don't think CUFC are that, or if they are, they're not very good at it, judging by their zero clean sheets in recent time.

We're OK going forward (averaging 2 goals a game) but a bit crap in defence.

Our home form takes care of itself, as I fancy anyone at home. We need a reset after Monday night so going to predict a 2-0 win. Can't see what Crawley are doing but they can get results themselves, but play that tippy tappy shit at the back and got caught out a few times last season. With having a squad overhaul as well, they should have better players but lets see how it pans out.

Hudders away. New ground for me, around 800 sold. Going up on the train (didn’t realise it would take 4 hours when it was suggested in our group) so any pub recommendations welcomed.

Also will make it easier when we inevitably get beat 3-0.

Head of steam located at the station is not bad for the first pint, the warehouse probably the best set up for the 12:30 game, if into craft beer the magic rock brewery is well rated, has decent food and lager for people like me.
Away fans get taken to the boy and barrel which I’ve not been but go there if you want singing. Loads of pubs in the town centre all walkable to the ground, only one that might be worth avoiding would be the Vulcan.

We have looked poor so far against teams that sit in, much better when we can press like Posh and Bolton away.

Early KO for us against Wigan, which I could do without.

I'm assuming Wigan are the same as last season and possession hungry so I doubt we'll see too much of the ball again, not that it really bothers us because Skubala is able to set us up in a similar way to Kennedy but be far more balanced and offer an attacking threat albeit it hasn't quite clicked as well as I think he'd like yet.

We had the luxury of leaving fit players out the squad last weekend - we'll see how long that lasts.

Thanks for all that mate, on the game, I think under Brady we tend to come and have a go at teams so probably won’t sit off

Whoever at Sky thought it would be a good idea to move us v Stevenage to an early kick off for their cameras is a bit coo-coo. Guess it will half Stevenage's away support to 75 rather than 150.

Barnsley at home. 10 goals conceded in a week. Hopefully moral is low and we can capitalise.
We are playing better but not winning. Need to start converting chances quickly.
Prediction 2-1 win

We've picked up some decent players but we still have a tendency to over elaborate. Look for Flint (lcb) Quiterna (rw) and Camara (everywhere). We can't score though. Need Swan to get going. I can't see us getting anything but hopefully we will not gift you 3 goals like last season.

Crawley had 72% possession at Wigan and lost 1-0

Can't see our game being a classic. Stevenage are always tricky and we are making too many mistakes at the moment. But we need to grind out a win here if we are looking at mid table rather than relegation form

So far we’ve managed to get points without playing particularly well against Stockport and Cambridge and at best Saturday will probably be the same again.

Other than upfront our midfield and defence options at the minute are actually worse than our side last season in L2, just got to keep trying to grind out the points until we get some of our better options back.

Swan always needs time to warm up, just got to trust him and keep giving him a chance then usually once he starts he gets a good return.

Nah, that honour is being saved for Lincoln at home, the traditional death knell for our managers.

Suspect we will not like your physicality, and we seem to have found two more important injuries in the last week, so should be fun for us.

Not looking forward to it in the slightest, Udoh is going bum the living fuck out of Rossi.

I said at the start of the season that with respect to the sides mentioned, home fixtures against burton, stockport, cambridge, shrewsbury then blackpool were always a “generous” set of games at field mill.

Had we had a top top side (again no disrespect to anyone mentioned) i think we’d have got battered.

Shrewsbury is another one of those games where we can look for a point or points, whereas like i said when we played cambridge they’d be looking to do the same.

Another win would be magical. Looks as if hurst (a manager who has never impressed me) looks like he’s on borrowed time also.
