For what it's worth, having seen the freekick decision, we've had some interesting ones go against us this season but that is absolutely crazy. You'll never see a cleaner tackle all season.

Christ we’ve turned shite again.

Another stinking refereeing decision but that doesn’t take away from a dreadful run. A lot of tough games to come too.

Would like offer my warmest thanks to Dale Vince and all at FGR for ensuring that paying £10 to watch this was not an option.

How on earth have tiny Forest Green, despite being promoted one season later to the League than Grimsby, who beat them in the play-off final and did the double over them only last season, managed to totally outclass them in both matches this season?

It's a disgrace if you think about it, no disrespect blahblah...

There’s this thing that happens in football when some teams improve and some don’t. I guess that’s pretty unheard of.

They have a bigger budget than us, as they did in the Conference. They've got the same manager that took them up and they initially maintained the core of their squad and have built on it as opposed to us who failed to keep any of our key players and are on our 3rd manager since the one who took us up left.

Sounded very comfortable. Now 10 points clear of 4th with a game in hand. Draw will do at Bury on Saturday.

Good to see the Impish analysis of Lincoln's win.

He waits until it looks like Lincoln might do something then magically appears.

It’s like most Lincoln fans just over a much shorter period of time.

Said in the shoutbox that there is no way Lincoln won't win the title. Annoyingly better and more consistent than anyone else by a long way. The signings last week were brilliant and if my Lincoln supporting co-worker is right there are more to come. Fair play.

And I am not saying anything nice about them again until they secure promotion.

There are 2-3 more to come in according to DC, we still need another striker, though it could be two and probably one more CM.

Yep, I figured that, but I was wondering why? (Well Son of Cod already answered much of that.) I expected FGR to have a pretty big budget (they're basically another Crawley/ Fleetwood), but they still finished below you lot despite you having a dreadful season and Grimsby are still one of the bigger clubs in League 2. With the money you earned from promotion and Wembley and the players you can attract, you ought to be pushing for the play-offs at least in your third season back in the League. Unless finances are that tight (I don't know the ins and outs of Grimsby in detail), I find it hard to believe that you couldn't be doing a lot better and anyone could find your lack of progress acceptable.

Grimsby seem to be trying Vale vintage of 2017/18.

Wins back to the end of December 2017 Vale have just won 4 and drew 1 in 5 league games, including beating Coventry and Anihilating the league leaders 4-0 and we are all talking about maybe a run to the play offs... went shit in January and didn’t win again until Good Friday!

Couldn't care less about the title. Would be an added bonus but it's all about top three. Looks like we're on course for a 90-point finish for the second time in three seasons though. Funnily enough we had 58 points after 28 games at that point of our title-winning season as well.

Yep, we don't want the pesky play-offs, we aren't that great in them. :gmc:

Sounded like a very comfortable win.
The Yeovil supporters sounded like they were at a friendly, very quiet.

We were set back by losing Hurst and then Fenty appointing his mate Slade who basically destroyed us in just over a season and nearly relegated us back to non league.

Luckily sense was seen before the end and we appointed Jolley who has a massive rebuilding job on his hands. Still a long way mind. Despite being an average size club for this level we have no money as Fenty is running us on minimum required to survive with no investment at all.

As for today no surprise really, I said in December despite the wins we were playing poorly and against poorer sides managed to win or get lucky at Exeter. Come Jan we are playing better sides and losing, no surprise really. Defence has mainly improved massively since start of season but we still have nothing going forward. Am sure we will be fine but yet again we are back in a relegation battle and MK Dons up next!

Yeah Yeovil fans were quiet, was bloody bitter on that uncovered terrace!

Looking forward to League 1 footy next season. Some key signings look like they'll get us over the line comfortably.

Hopefully Scunny stay up look forward to that one.

Some interesting news on stadium expansion coming out this week, hopefully we can get near 13000 capacity, probably need more in League 1 to be honest but small steps.

Great time to be in imp. Night all.

As Frealaf says, we’re an average sized club with zero investment. We made 70k form the promotion season. We’re not the same-sized club (logistically) we were 20 years ago. League 2 is our natural level at the minute and has been for most of my time supporting the club.

It's hard to get excited when you're as shit as we are and your manager & board have sucked all hope from the entire fanbase. Hardly any fans there anyway. It was Groundhog Day after 2 home wins in 11 months.
