Yes, I was at the game and you actually had 51% possession and just 7 shots (only 2 on target that were both from 45 yards). We were by far the better team and you obviously know that too.

66% possession.
30 shots to your 6
10 on target to your 3
15 corners to your zero

You clearly weren't at the game. Just admit it next time.

The BBC possession stats once had us as having had 100% despite being 2-0 down.

Sky has the same possession and also 30 shots.

I was there, and I personally reckon it was more than 30. I reckon they just got bored of counting after the 30 mark.

More then 30! Bloody hell that is a lot. How did you manage to lose? You sound like you might be missing Reuben. ;)

Btw thanks for letting us have James, he's a top player and a good captain as well.

The fact you paid money for him is still a surprise to us. God awful player for us.

Reuben couldn't play at all with Stockley - One had to go and Reuben was the worst of the two. Need him back now though if you don't mind

Subtle player is James, need to know your stuff to fully appreciate him. Like a league 2 Xavi.

With Doidge back wouldn't be a surprise to see Reid move on tbh, so you never know...

Erm yes I was there mate, I remember because I was at a party in York at 6.30pm after the match and I only just managed to get there in time. We battered you, just admit it.

Yep, I figured that, but I was wondering why? (Well Son of Cod already answered much of that.) I expected FGR to have a pretty big budget (they're basically another Crawley/ Fleetwood), but they still finished below you lot despite you having a dreadful season and Grimsby are still one of the bigger clubs in League 2. With the money you earned from promotion and Wembley and the players you can attract, you ought to be pushing for the play-offs at least in your third season back in the League. Unless finances are that tight (I don't know the ins and outs of Grimsby in detail), I find it hard to believe that you couldn't be doing a lot better and anyone could find your lack of progress acceptable.

Russell Slade set us back 2-3 seasons. Jolley is now picking up the pieces and will now have to rebuild for 2-3 seasons. It isn’t acceptable but we’ve only got one person to blame (Fenty) and there’s not a lot we can do about that.

Instead we support Jolley in his rebuilding project, it’s going to take a while to do and he’s hardly going to be able to do it if we all sit there moaning about it. It has happened, we’ve been in much worse positions and I don’t see Jolley taking us to those depths again.

You were absolutely shocking against us and definitely one of the worst sides we played. But your keeper is incredible and managed to win you the 3 points so fair enough. As long as he stays inform you'll be fine
We were so bad that we scored 2 goals against you including one while down to 10 men.

How bad does that make you lot?

We had Neil Ardley and Michael O'Connell playing for us last night according to Sky, which was a pleasant surprise!

Rowe scoring last night now means 19 of our squad have scored this season and Rowe was the first to score more than one in a game.

Ended up being a comfortable win (IMHO) last night. Wrapped up like a kipper on the terrace with more layers than an onion so wasn't too cold. New team formation with Shacks and Bolger as CBs supported by Bostwick in DM role worked really really well- that, alongside Danny Rowe, were the biggest pluses from the night (aside from the 3 points).

Wasn't a bluster game either- pretty quiet all round. Can't think of a time when I've heard two opposition fans, in different stands, able to exchange individual insults and hear each other. Made an amusing aside.

Thought Yeovil fans were really friendly, stewards exceptionally helpful and cheery- even let an Imps fan bring his dog into the ground rather than leave it in the car. You can feel the home fans frustration with their current position and plight too.

Overall though a long long day and evening (and night) but worth it for 3 points.

Fair play for doing that journey. What time did you get back?

02:29 this morning- left home at 14:10. Didn't arrive at Yeovil until 19:41- roadworks, more roadworks, snow, an accident at Bristol.

Coming back wasn't much better either but 3 points kept me going

Any chance you can be a bit more precise with your timings, 19:41 and how many seconds? ;)

Genuine question, were you at the game? You were shocking. Your defence didn't do well either, the clue is that we managed to get so many shots on goal. It was solely down to your keeper and I'll be amazed if you manage to keep him in the summer.

P.S - You were shite against Palace as well.
I’m not gonna get into an argument as it’s pointless but you do remember that the majority of your shots where while we played the last 40 minutes with 10 men?
And 88 mins v Palace with 10 men and only lost 1-0 i certainly wouldn’t describe that performance as ‘shite’ either.

Sounded like a very comfortable win last night. Danny Rowe could be a huge signing for us. He looked extremely lively when he came on against Grimsby and it was great to see him score last night. His pace and skill down the middle offer us something I think we've been lacking.

Can't belive that Toffolo didn't get sent off for his high foot, judging by the manner he walked away he probably thought he was off as well. Very unlike him and a very foolish challenge to attempt.

Especially it being in the 86th minute of a very comfortable 90.

This is the foul for the free kick for FGR’s second goal:

Are League 2 refs all off their tits on spice or are we just bring really unlucky recently with incompetent ones?
Now I don’t think it cost us any points as I’m pretty sure we’d have lost anyway but that given as a foul, just fuck off.

That looked a joke at the time tbh, even Cooper admitted it. Never seen a ref so easily swayed by crowd appeals as Coggins was last night, funny as fuck. Can see why Jolley was raging.

If a ref is swayed by a forest green crowd I’d seriously question the refs competency - more likely to be scared by a group of school children

Exactly, that's what made it so funny.

I'm not sure we bent the rules- we didn't ref the game! Did think, with a view from the Terrace, that Toffolo could have seen his challenge go either way (Red or Yellow) but not sure what else we did?

I see the Lincs press have referred to Way as 'another sore loser'. He's a crap manager who looks for excuses to mask his own errors and inadequacies.

Not sure I agree, it looked nasty but it was an accidental foot to the head collision in an attempt to get the ball in the air with no malicious intent, I think the crowd reaction was a bit OTT.
