We owe woking one for last season at their place.... I think a good win tomorrow as our players hopefully realise their performances have got a bloke the sack and aim to make amends.

We had his former strike partner Chris Iwelumo 2 years ago. It was a club too far for him. I doubt Cureton has it in him anymore either. Has he got a coaching role?

No Cureton doesnt have a coaching role. He has been signed on non contract terms as cover for Scott Wilson who has been injured since the end of Pre Season. In Truth, Cureton is unlikely to start games, he will be used as an impact player. Our front 2 of Mandron & Constable will continue to start games, but although Mandron has notched 5 goals so far, Constable hasnt scored yet and doesnt look like he will either, so i think Cureton gives us an option of taking Beano off earlier in games where we need a goal. Ryan Bird our other striker who IMO, isnt anywhere near this level, not for a top side anyway. We will add a striker, maybe 2, in Jan.

I think the game against Sutton will be interesting seeing as their manager and first team coach (Paul Doswell & Ian Baird) are both ex-Eastleigh managers! They also have several ex-Eastleigh players in their squad, so its a welcome home for a lot of them. Decent bunch of fans the Sutton lot too, so will be a good day and we are expecting a big crowd (its been designated as FREE for Students day).

I'd wager he does. Didn't get in the side last season for one reason or another, and lets face it we were cack anyway, but the year before that he still managed to hit 20 goals in League Two.

If he's given the service in a decent side, he will score goals in this league have no doubt about that.

As for us, Bromley away which on paper should say 3 points, but then also comes with the caveat of playing against five ex-Daggers. Guarantee at least one will score (Porter, definitely Porter), but I would expect a pretty high scoring game regardless.

Hopefully we can claw a win, make it four on the bounce and give us good momentum going in to Tranmere on the box next week.

Like Shotsfan says above Gateshead are a bit of a jinx side for us but we have been so bad for the last few seasons we deserved nothing from those games

With the new regime and playing style I fancy us to nick it this time. A last minute winner would be poetic justice :ohy:

Isn't Chester's ground in Wales or have I made that up?

One of the corners is.

Chris FGR is quite correct, one of the corners is in Wales. Also in Wales are three other corners and about four of the sides. I think the only part in England is the trophy room* and the safe. I presume the on-site motorcycle training facilities are used to help their players get jobs at Pizza Hut.

Saying that, I'm predicting a Chester win tomorrow, and Gary Mills getting the boot by Monday tea-time.

Interesting. I never knew Chester FC were actually based in Wales.

Bromley probably the biggest side we've played this season (and though not the most physical - that was Sutton - certainly fouled us a lot to stop us playing), so will be interesting to see how Hawkins gets on against their two big centre-halves. The two forwards worked their nuts off hassling for 65mins until they finally ran out of steam, around the same time we made subs and started bossing the game. Remains to be seen whether they use the same tactics against a team that plays it direct with a target man and two wingers.

The offices are in England, hence why we're dealt with by the English FA.

Damn shame really, think of all of the suspensions we could have gotten away with.

Just wondering how much longer we're going to keep giving McNamara chances... Looks as if we're never gonna turn our poor form around with him in charge.

Cardin has just publically slated the players and coaches for getting brabin the sack, nice work mate woking must be rubbing their hands together in glee!!

Just the one game in charge then, he couldnt motivate an alcoholic if he had a bottle of whisky in his hand

And all the transfers you've avoided being delayed.

I'm actually more looking forward to the beer festival at North Ferriby Village Hall than I am the football tomorrow. Anywhere classed as a village shouldn't be allowed a football club playing on a national level.

You do realise you have Paul Carden in charge now? If you thought Brabin was bad then you're in for an absolute treat!

The Torquay weekender for us. So many people preferring to do it that way, we aren't even running a bus.

Good to be on the road again, where we tend to play better. Hopefully Dawes rocketed the players after the last two shockers and we'll be much improved.

Pink slips for Miller?

Think we'll get something from the game. Miller will bag inevitably, I think it'll be 1-1 and I'd take that.

Talk on our forum that Raggett might not be able to play for Lincoln against Dover whilst the tribunal is still pending? Anyone got any idea if that's true?
Why? Not like he's on loan with us from you?
The only reason he'll miss if he gets a version of the disease Hearn kept getting last season not Grimsbyitis but Doveritis.

Would love him back maybe Wrexham want a swop

Why, are you going for it™ like you did when he got you up? He'll be pretty much useless if not.

FWIW I think he would walk back to York. He is getting sacked if we lose tomorrow, I believe that to be 100% certain.

Cant see anything but another poor result for us tomorrow. Ex players too haunt us Durrell etc. A disapointing 5800-6200 there due to the pathetic police force here after some overtime and limelight. Mills to be sacked (could be the only positive tomorrow) and more BOO's

Eastleigh away. Nick Bailey is suspended and Jamie Cureton has just signed for the home team so I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose

Can't help laughing every time I hear that, it must cost the club a fortune in candles if he has a birthday whilst there...still staggered! lol

For once I don't think Miller will score. Cowley appears to be preoccupied on keeping him quiet, which suggests doubling up on him every time he gets the ball, which hopefully will give room for others. Please let Raggs be one of them because whilst he would obviously dominate in the air, get the ball down and Miller will turn him inside out.
Who knows with a bit of luck CK might actually change tactics tomorrow which could well surprise everyone, maybe he will also play the lad from Eastleight to combat the inevitable bombardment that will Rheads way, but again, I doubt it.
Settle for a draw now

I doubt you'll see an 'inevitable bombardment'. It's not something we've really done a lot of this season.

At times, we've been stuck between over-playing when we should have been hitting Rhead and playing off him and vice versa.

EDIT - An another matter, what's the crack between Kinnear and Cowley? I read it goes back to his Concord days but I'm not sure what it's all about.

Maybe its blind optimism but I can't see them winning. We haven't lost at home yet this season they haven't won away. I don't think it will be a classic but I think we'll sneak a win.

Tight game tomorrow I reckon, Wrexham unbeaten at home and we're winless away. Could say we're due a win on the road and they're due a defeat on home turf, almost no logic to it. If that happened, the meltdown in the stands we'd witness would be priceless.

McCarthy has a big call tomorrow on whether to bring back in the more experienced Hudson for teenager Hughes, any Chester fan would tell you to stick with the latter, he's undoubtedly better but reckon he'll play it safe with Hudson.

Definitely should play it safe with Hollywood Hudson. I want to give him a clap.
