We scored twice in four minutes of added time with ten men to win 3-2 against Halifax. That's six points from Aspin's lot this year. B2TF seems to be doing a sponsored silence in aid of Halifax's poor form. :woo:

In other news, tally-ho Alfreton - going out in spectacular fashion today. :2thumb:

Interestingly, we've been in the division for the same years.

12th - 62 points
9th - 68 points
7th 76 points.

Completely forgot we'd got a game mate, sounds as though you were a bit lucky. Anyway on a different topic, Barnet to be deducted 14 points for fielding an ineligible player. I told you first. :brill:

I wonder how many people are actually on our database? Regardless I don't think it will stop many, various ways around the FGR statement.

Unfortunately this sort of thing was bound to happen with an away allocation of 825. Just hope it's all good natured.

Did Alfreton just give up the ghost in the end?

Nothing will change until Dorrian fucks off sadly. The man deserves to be pelted with whatever the Lincoln public wish to chuck at him.
Don't you turn into a 'it's all Dorrian's fault' guy, too. It's a Board thing. Dorrian isn't the be all and end all of everything.

Would you not be better having the biggest part time budget rather than the lowest full time budget?
That'd send the wrong signal out and we'd lose even more fans than we already have.

Crazily, I didn't think they were the worst team I've seen all season. Bradley for example was an asset for them, not surprised he's been linked to (and joined!!) other clubs.

I think we were just fairly comfortable second half, keeping the ball and consistently making chances. To tell you the truth we also missed about 3 headers which should have gone in. Was just a good day creatively for us, Alfreton obviously weren't that brilliant but weren't spectacularly poor either.

Why exactly? He is the person at the top of it all. Yes it's a collaborative effort, but the final remit lies with him.

But of course, everything you say is fact, isn't it. *snigger

Alfreton fans were a credit to their club today, fantastic support and deserved more really.

Shame to send them down if I'm honest, but they'll be back.
DSL isn't so sure about that and there are plenty of bigger teams in the Vanarama North.

Well I have a bit of time to reflect on yesterday and the season.

First off though, yesterday despite our relegation. I tip my hat to Rovers.
It was a little bit of a nightmare getting in to the ground but despite that once I was in at around 4.55 the atmosphere was just beginning to build. And my God what a atmosphere! Absolutely incredible!! I had goosebumps as the players emerged on to the pitch. If you had said to me a 5 years ago. You wll be away at Bristol Rovers in a Record crowd for the Conference of 11,085 I would have fought you will bat crazy. A gentleman that has supported Alfreton since they were born in 1959 and has seen 1,847 consective games yes 1,847. You read right. Unbelievable. He was in tears. It was really emotional.

I chuckled at the amount I overhead "I dont even fucking know where Alfreton" is!:lol: Sums our stay at this level up to a tee in the eyes of opposition supporters.

And the crescendo of noise when you scored the first. WOW. Never known anything like it for an Alfreton game. I must admit though at the beginning I think the Gas fans were more nervous than us!

Well as for the actual 90 minutes what can I say? If I am being brutal it summed up our season particulary defensively. I hate to pick certain players out but I really had smypathy for Flynn in goal. He looked completely out of his depth. Being plucked out of the Ebac Northern League with Consett FC and finshing with a confidence destroying thrashing at Bristol Rovers? Ouch.

As Vanni mentioned above though I season wasnt lost yesterday it was the week before at home to Welling against 10 men for 76 minutes.

I felt pig sick though when I heard of Southports goal at Welling. Absolutely gutted. :msi::msi::msi:

The main factors for me though have to be failing to win any of the run of four straight home games back in March, the late equlaizer conceded v Chester, the loss of Jason Mooney back to York which was a huge blow and to top it all off the abject and frankly pathetic second half v Welling.

Utter nonsense. Do have any stats to support your statement?

This is the sort of response we've come to expect from the Tin Pot sides when they've earned a red card or two against our side. Well done in re-affirming your Tin Pot status.

I am afraid to say yes we did we completely capitulated in the second half. Rovers really should have had double figures.

Thanks mate. Really means a lot.
Yes Gasheads (well the vast majority of them) were fantastic. Great to see all he players go and appaulaud the supporters at the end too. Except for a certain Mr. Law.:told:

DSL isn't so sure about that and there are plenty of bigger teams in the Vanarama North.

Yep, Sad to say but I dont expect o see us back at this level if Law stays in the job. Went to the press room after the game and listened to his interview. I have never seen so dejected and beaten in all his years here. He looked like a man who knew it was the end. He blamed the players said we had over achieved for the past four years, which we have without a doubt and that he expects another relegation battle next term. He also said here will be no warchest to fight for an immediate return. Its gonna another long old season I am afraid.

Woah, woah. Has Urban rattled your cage or something?

Dorrian has the exact same power as every other Board member. They all have one vote and final decisions are where the majority lie and cannot be over-ruled by one person i.e. Dorrian, just because he's Chairman. 'Chairman', in our case, is just a fancy title for Spokesperson.

I'm usually just about on the money with what I say, yes. Thanks for noticing.

Anyone know when the Barnet game is repeated in full on BT Sport? I forget to record it and have heard Nicky Law gave an interview to BT Sport before the game.

It will be on BT on demand, they've put all the live games in the past on there.

Deleted due to ungracefulness. You've made me feel guilty. Hey but no hard feelings - it's football. Sometimes you've just got to take the stick. I'll be cheering on Rovers in the play offs. You pushed us all the way and for that deserve an immediate return the L2. The best of luck!

I can't cope with Lincoln fans arguing and making sly digs at each other it just feels wrong and awkward.

I'm rooting for Bristol and Grimsby, there's already too many of these Tin Pot outfits riding on their chairmans bank accounts in the Conference, they don't need them in the Football League as well. 2 years from now Eastlee will be the latest to take voluntary relegation from the Conference, while Forest Green will already have resumed acquaintance with there natural derby rivals Gloucester and Worcester. Gwarn the real clubs. :bdick:

I wonder if Bradley had only gone back on a season long loan, he may be have been tempted to have a crack at a career in the football league with us? Plus he wouldn't of been able to play against us at their place and we would of won the league a little earlier had he not won the penalty that got Alfreton their equaliser.

I don't think that was ever going to be an option. The moment he made it clear his heart wasn't in it then he wasn't going to stay a Barnet player. You only need look at KMB to see how players that don't conform to the team ethic get on.

To be honest mate if I was a Gashead after yesterday I would seriously be asking myself how the f**k did we not beat Alfreton at their place?

Hands up Gasheads who thought that?

It's a different prospect though, most of the lower teams are quite competitive at home. Even when we did beat the likes of Telford, Southport away, it was only by a goal. Which is why games like Alfreton, Welling etc. have cost us.

Anyway, all hypothetical now!

As Vanni mentioned above though I season wasnt lost yesterday it was the week before at home to Welling against 10 men for 76 minutes.

To be fair, the fact you were the only Conference team bad enough to lose to us twice didnt help either ;)
