I'll be amazed if our game with Walsall is on Saturday after todays events with regards to our squads health.

Salford away, where we won 4-0 last season...they are a better team this season and fancied by many to be challenging for promotion...however, having seen us play on Saturday, I think we are better too. We look stronger in defence and the midfield has a bit more steel to it, all we need is for Matt to start banging the goals in and the future looks at least promising.

We have already played two difficult games and registered four points, if we could get another away at Salford on Saturday I think our fans may have reason to believe this season will be better than the last.
We could not beat nine-man Bradford on Saturday and lost to nine-man Salford earlier this year.
Omens don't look good.

We should have beat them in the end took us a half to adjust to what they are and thats big and strong dont see them doing that well once the surprise factor wears off.
Thanks, I have seen a post on Facebook that was interesting, didn’t realise you guys were on a fairly decent unbeaten run too

Tranmere win on Saturday then.

We're at home to Grimsby. Hoping more pilot games are given the green light this week, having gone to watch an FA Vase game on Saturday (my cousin was playing) I now have the bug again.
You need to careful of your wording. I thought you had got covid for the second time and was about to send my best wishes!

I hope this isn't a repeat of George Williams, who broke his leg just a couple of minutes into last season and was never really seen again.
He also hasn’t been seen for the first 2 games of this season. Although he has been in the team.

Orient should be on that graph (unbeaten in 7), so I wouldn’t rely on its veracity.

Harrogate on saturday, I would like to hear some opinions of Harrogate supporters, or even Southend/Walsall on how they look. Beating Southend seemed impressive on the opening week but after seeing Carlisle put them away too, is it that Southend are just the Stevenage of last season? Nevertheless it is hard not to be confident for this one, they have an FA trophy final on Tuesday night against Notts County so hopefully they have a few tired legs Saturday and we can continue to push on but I will not be taking them for granted as I feel they will come to vale park with a lot more intent than Crawley did. I feel this one may be 1-1 for large parts of the game but then McKirdy will come on to snatch a 2-1 win for the Vale.
They were the better team over 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup game at Prenton Park, though weren't clinical enough with their chances. Narrow Vale win seems about right.

Cambridge away. Cambridge who are top of the league away. Cambridge who are top of the league and just won 5-0 away. Cambridge who are top of the league and just won 5-0 with ex Tranmere striker Paul Mullin bagging a hattrick away. Cambridge who are top of the league and just won 5-0 with ex Tranmere striker Paul Mullin bagging a hattrick whilst we couldn’t hit a barn door away.

Can’t wait.
I mean, if we continue at the current trajectory then we’re on for P46, W46, F184 A0 Pts 138

But realistically, we’ve played two games and got two excellent wins but that’s all it is. At the beginning of the season Tranmere would have been seen as a play off hopeful (at least since they were very unfortunate to be relegated on ppg) so would probably have taken a draw. But since our decent start we’ve got to be targeting a win at home now, especially since we don’t have many injuries yet and I expect us to tail away when first teamers are out.

Mansfield covid testing after the Leyton Orient farce have come back fully negative so I presume our game against Exeter is on Saturday.

Would imagine Paul Mullin is looking forwards to this game, he didn’t really get a fair crack at Tranmere and wouldn’t be surprised if he dinks one past Scotty Davies from 25 yds. Would prefer him over Vaughan in playing the single striker role we are having to employ due to injury and fitness levels.
Hopefully Jay Spearing comes good,as he’s been poor. According to sources in Grimsby and Bolton we are paying him millions. So it’s about time he repays some of that.
On paper we’ve got a squad of players that should be challenging for the top 3. I think to get success in this league you need a squad of players who would run through brick walls for the manager. I’ve not seen this thus far.
2-1 with Mullin to score.

I don't think Cambridge will win every game, get 138 points and keep 46 clean sheets, they'll probably draw a couple and maybe concede 1 or 2 over the season.

I am sure the local park league will think likewise
You havent even scored a goal in league 2 yet. If you think you're getting promoted still you're going to be bitterly disappointed. If I was you I'd just hope to stay up. You look woeful.

Bang on. Bolton and Bradford looked pretty poor tbh. Shows how you can never tell what an easy/tough start is at this level until the season starts. Would probably have got less points if we'd started with Cambridge and Harrogate, which on paper would have looked an easier start.

Now I am not denying we were poor on Saturday, but due to your cheating Adam's we were left playing over half hour with 9 men, yet you still couldn't beat us, doesn't say much for your own team then

Well yes, that's the point.....

Couldn't beat a poor side even down to 9 men. Need to improve a lot if we're gonna get anything at Salford.

Forest Green's Adams is easily one of the most hateable players in this league.
Horrible little man.

To be fair, Bolton will probably stay up. We are woeful and would be rock bottom come the season's end. The other team would probably be Oldham who look similarly bad like us both on the pitch and off the pitch, if Wigan doesn't get kicked out of League 1 like Bury did last season.

We may have lost the first couple.but the stats say we are the best footballing team in the league in both completed passes and retention......Once Doyle clicks we will rise up the league

There won't be any relegation imo as the National League won't start without fans. It doesn't look like fans will be allowed in anytime soon, so the National League might end up not playing at all this season.

Part of the agreement of relegating last season was that the relegated club would have a League to play in.
If the National League fail to start this season they'll have failed to keep up their part of the deal, which could well spell an end to the promotion/relegation agreement I reckon.
