Haven’t they recently redeveloped some of it with more improvements planned?
No idea, it really needs it though.

Hard to dislike the club in any way but definitely not an away day I'd relish.

Another clean sheet and more blanks up front, its tough at the moment but thats life so you get on with it and go forward. We started well and looked promising but theres no real end product, the Cobblers certainly finished the stronger so in the end it was a point. When that first win comes you will hear sighs of relief....all round our house !

It’s a good away day to be honest, good pub at the ground nice tight compact stadium where you can make some noise, it’s small but who cares it’s a proper small team football ground

Never mind Siberia, stand in the away end in Winter, wind blowing and freezing your nuts off. Thats what I was brought up on at Fleetwood, too many soft b...'s out there. Speaking of Accy, team of the season for me and their manager John Coleman, he has done a fantastic job, love to see them get in the play offs................which is more than I can say about the Cods !

Been before, pre season, thought it was crap and you have to pass through Blackburn to make things worse. Two awful towns for pubs. Better off drinking in Bamber Bridge and getting the latest train possible.

Just to add - what's with Guy Whittingham on co-commentary - spent the entire 90 mins wanting Pompey to dive and cheat their way through, really weird from a co-commentator.
He's an ex-player, ex-manager and now commentates on all our games. He's biased obviously and wanted us to use gamesmanship to get a point after going down to 10 men. Local pundits are all the same.

I've only seen the Whatmough challenge on my phone and it didn't look worthy of a red, but we all see things from our team's side. Note to referees: properly injured players do not roll around on the ground five or six times as a rule.

Aside from all that, Lincoln were causing us problems before the red card, so we may well have lost anyway. We came into this big week on a great run, and have been put firmly back in our box by the two teams above us. Still, at least Hull lost to Accy.

Ah Taylor Curran. A mysterious player we gave a 3 year contract to at 18. The rumour is that his dad is loaded and is investing in the club on the proviso that his son gets a contract. Even worse now he seems to be getting regular football even though we have shedloads of defenders. This has really riled up the fan base and of course makes a mockery of the club if its a job for your mates club.

The sooner Lee Power sells up and we can try and and move forward the better. The club is stagnant currently which is a massive shame after it looked like Wellens was going to take us forward. I'm sure there are an encyclopaedia of dirty secrets happening behind the scenes at our club, one thing it's never dull but it would be good to get some dull times occasionally!!
Three years! How many other players do you have on that length of contract?

I was not aware of Curran’s situation until I read your forum last night. Was he the one who tried to rugby tackle our substitute striker, Ennis, just over the half way line? He could easily have seen a red card there.

This must be a terribly demotivating situation for many of your players.

I think DJ may have a decent contract length, but most are either 1 year or 1+1 option. From the grapevine the players are almost mutinous over the situation - seasoned pros not even in the squad but Curran is.

He came on early on a few games ago when 1 of our CBs got injured. Had 1 CB on the bench who had played 20 odd games this season, Anthony Grant who played quite a few games at CB last season when we had an injury crisis and was our PotS last season. Both ignored to play Curran. Yet again littered with mistakes and when asked about in the post match presser got pissy and named and shamed other players who make mistakes and said Curran played well - which 100% he did not. The situation is toxic. Curran must have a bloody thick skin, tbf, as I’d imagine a dressing room full of testerone fuelled young men would be a bit feisty.

I think Grant was playing CB when you beat us at Home Park in January. You were the best side we played all season. And I don’t mean because of who you had up front, just as a team you were slicker, more co-ordinated and made fewer mistakes than any other team by far. The side I saw last night was a shadow of that side skills wise.

Anyone managed by Sturrock would have come to know Blair, but I do not think he was anywhere near as bad as what you were describing. He was an experienced professional footballer, just Scottish leagues were probably more his level than leagues 2 and 1.

Blair Sturrock was competent enough in his spell with us. Not a world-beater by any means, but a steady alternative/substitute up front who got a few goals and didn't look out of place in our team in L1. Picked up an injury, otherwise we may well have offered him a longer deal.
