Can anyone tell me how the ticketing goes at Barnet? The email says print out and take it with you but it's just a QR code; can they just scan your phone when you get there?

I've not printed mine out. If they can scan a QR Code on paper, they can scan it on a mobile device.

'Elsewhere it looks like routine wins for Grimsby and Wrexham...' - uhhh, we're going for the double. Really looking forward to Saturday, it's just a shame I'm driving as I'd have been all over the Docks Brewery in Grimsby if I'd got the train up. For the Mariners lot on here, any chippys and pubs you'd recommend in Cleethorpes?

Jack Cook had to come off on Tuesday night which I'd normally say is a right blow but all being well, we'll have Nik Tavares back to take his place if he's unable to feature on Saturday. The rest of the team picks itself after Tuesday night's performance. Stuart Maynard switched to a back 4 for the first time all season vs. Notts so it will be interesting to see if that remains in place or if he reverts to a back 5.

PaulHaddock's covered the chippy question (i'd add that Ocean Fish Bar on St Peter's Ave is also decent if you haven't got time for a sit down visit to Steels). Don't bother with Papa's on the pier, the food there is average and it's really just a big tourist trap.

Pubs - the Wetherspoons in Cleethorpes is adequate but not amazing. If you want a more traditional pub i'd recommend the Nottingham House which usually has some decent stuff on cask, but is a 30 minute walk from the ground. The Number 2 on the platform at the station is tiny, but very good, and the Number 1 just outside the station is decent too. I've never actually been in it, but apparently the bar under the stand in the away end is meant to be really good as well.

Powell will be straight into the squad for tomorrow and we have alot more pace about us and a lot less OAPs in the match day squad.

No new injuries for us, JMD and Efete still out. Interestingly though it appears Scannell and Grant are fit and training and have been a while, they just not getting selected. So if they are not good enough to get in a side with our current form, why are they still here?

Just seen this and heading out of work but Steels or Ocean Bar are my go to places. Steels probably easier for you as it's near the seafront.

Hope you have a safe trip and enjoy yourself. Docks will have at least one non-alco on too, but we'll both be in this division next season so hopefully you can get the train up then and have some proper drinks there then.

Normally the thought of a trip to the seaside would be high on the list, but the idea of watching Moseley set us up 9-1-0 and play solely not to lose fills me with despair so I’ll stay home and listen on the radio, at least I can turn it off when it gets too tedious.

Sympathise with you Slaphead. We have been there.............................

Quotes from our website after Tuesday:

"You know Molesley is at Aldershot, thats 3 drawn games for them. Trying the same tactics again. Sadly that will upset the fans and ultimately be his demise."

"So Aldershot “executed his game plan” .....boy am I glad he ain’t with us anymore!"

"Exactly, which is why I never rated him. Don't care whether he had his hands tied when he came here, his game plan was awful to watch."

"M M said the shots played to the game plan .Well if your plan means you spend 80 mins sitting deep and trying to hit teams on the counter attack His game plan is very poor .It looks like even the clubs fans do no like watch .So glad we ditched him."

"At the moment I suspect their supporters are willing to endure boredom as the price for survival.
If they do stay up, as I am sure they will, the mob may be more demanding next season."

Genuinely no idea what to expect from us tomorrow evening as you’ve got to question what frame of mind the players & Danny a Webb are going to be in after this last week…

We will set up in our usual shape I’d have thought. Be interesting to see if Grimes comes back into the starting XI now that Rowe won’t be on the sideline… in my opinion he should do, he’s still our best centre half. My line up would be…

Loach
Kerr - Grimes - Croll
Williams - Weston - Oyeleke - Whittle
Asante - Tshimanga

I’ve never had an average meal there, been 7 or 8 times since it opened including this Wednesday just gone and it’s always been really impressive food.

They look happy enough singing songs in the hotel tonight. 4-2-3-1 and Paul Cook sat behind the dugout incoming.

So I fully expect Stockport, BoringTree, Grimslethorpes, PoshBrum and Wretum to win.
We will probably lose to go back to 8 points a drift, honestly I have no idea how we can play so well agianst teams at the top but are awful against those at the bottom.
Its not as if we don't know how they are going to play. Sit back, men behind the ball. Press High, hit us on the counter through the middle.

But we fail.

Cheek will score, probably with his left one.

2-1 Bromley!
  • Barnet 15:00 Stockport County
  • Boreham Wood 15:00 King's Lynn Town
  • Bromley 15:00 Notts County
  • Dagenham & Redbridge 15:00 FC Halifax Town
  • Dover Athletic 15:00 Southend United
  • Grimsby Town 15:00 Wealdstone
  • Solihull Moors 15:00 Altrincham
  • Weymouth 15:00 Aldershot Town
  • Woking 15:00 Yeovil Town
  • Wrexham 15:00 Maidenhead Un

QR code on phone is fine mate.

How many you reckon will be there?
We'd sold 600 early afternoon yesterday, think most people who are going would have got one so I could see just short of 700.

I get the impression we will do the same today, the only difference being this is a game we need to win. Winning today gets us very close to safety while a defeat drags us right into trouble.

I'll judge Molesley on his football next season though, this season is all about staying up given the mess he inherited.

Oi, where's our childish insult?

Snackpot, Stockcube, Cockport Cunty... there's so much you could go with.

Bloody favouritism, I tell you.

Are we really awful against teams at the bottom, though? We’re averaging more than two points per game against the current bottom half (Yeovil downwards), 2.09 to be precise, and that’s without playing Dover at all. 23 points from 11 games, which, while we could perhaps have 3 or 4 more, isn’t exactly terrible. Scored 23 goals too. This narrative seems to have taken hold among some Notts fans that we are terrible against the lower teams, which isn’t really borne out by the stats.

Agree today will be tough though against the Bromley Giants. Draw would do me.

I’m expecting us to win today given Hurst is surely fighting for his job. 1-0 win, Hurst backers cupping their ears and Hurst gets another free hit at Notts County

Another big crowd expected at the Racecourse to play Maidenhead. Hopefully another win to keep us on our good run but you can never take anything for granted against Maidenhead. After this we have 3 away games on the trot and not at home for a month so a chance for Stockport to pull away
