I know what you mean. Crazy to think we are only halfway through, season feels like it has been going forever, and ours has been seriously disrupted now. But some fans really let league table pressure really get to them. I even saw one loon on Facebook complaining that Solihull were above us, this being despite the fact they’ve played more games, including Dover twice, whereas we haven’t played them at all. Another claiming ‘something’s not right’ because we have gone two games without scoring. Drop to 8th, and certain people piss their pants. You’d have thought they’d have learned to wait until all the votes are counted by now, but no.

On to Grimsby!
Doing my nut in too, but it's just a symptom of the ridiculously tight league and an indication of how ruthless the winners are expected to have to be.

Yes, and one auto spot. Horrible league!

Indeed, we are playing unbelievable football at the moment but if we slip up against Chesterfield next Tuesday and/or Bromley the week after a lot of the great work will have been wasted. We really need not only to be top of the league by the middle of April but also have a few points gap. We have Boreham Wood, Chesterfield, Wrexham and Halifax as our last 4 games and the proceding 3 games are Grimsby A, Solihull H and Yeovil A (none of which are easy).

Long way to go yet with plenty of big games to come. But we're swatting teams away at the moment by and large. Dover next week you think could and probably should be the same but then Chesterfield at Home and Bromley away on two back to back Tuesday Nights with a Trophy game in between where we can and probably will rest players will be a good marker of where we're at.

Boreham Wood are still top on PPG, Chesterfield are still ahead of us on PPG (shame about their late winner yesterday in the evening game) and Bromley are behind us on PPG but they have two points a game which shows the standard of the top teams. Grimsby and Dagenham are wobbling for play-offs, if they don't get something at Notts and Chesterfield next week they have a long way back and could really be an 8 horse race with one to win the league, one to miss out on the play-offs and then a jostle for play off positions.

But again, taking Steve's games out of the equation, it's 2.58 ppg under Challinor

If you think it's payneful watching your strikers you should try watching Emile Acquah.
#useless

At least he tries, which is more than can be said for Nathan Blissett.

Both our centre forwards are barely NL South standard. The new guy will hopefully be starting games soon.

From where I was sitting you couldn't see it clearly but on the basis of that can't have any complaints about the red really. What a dolt.

Didn’t he get sent off for a silly elbow earlier in the season as well?

Well Bryce Hosannah got sent off at the time, but it was actually Mullin who threw an elbow. Another stupid and blatant red.

Both against Maidenhead, he must really hate them.

Your fans must be fuming? 7 games missed due to two stupid reds.

I'm not happy with him, no. I think he's cost us 5 points in those Maidenhead games too.

He's still extremely talented for this level and I don't believe this incident was malicious though.

At least one of the games is a trophy game so a small silver lining.
But yes, you could say I am not impressed.
He said he slipped as he challenged.
Ok, but you slipped with your foot already up at chest height.
Four minutes in, not in a dangerous position.
He didn't even need to bother going for it.

Yeah no doubt he’s talented but he hardly helping your title chances with these red cards. How’s Palmer doing? Quigley is gash.

Palmer looks a beast at this level, causes defences all sorts of issues and doesn't stop running. Offers aerial threat too, if only to limit the goalkeeper in the box. Early days, but I'm excited by him. I feel not having Mullin for the next 4 isn't the catastrophe it would've been earlier in the season now that Palmer is here too.

Mullin’s frustration getting the better of him. Sick of watching Tozer launch balls into the box twice a week. Can see why he’d lash out.

Such a frustrating one that, we looked very comfortable and should have been at last another goal up but once we took Palmer off we fell apart up top and couldn't get out.....I thought we had done it though, such a kick in the balls.

I think Palmer and Ponticelli could work well, It's not the end of the world but it is a big blow that it probably extends as far as the Chesterfield game.

Ref Mullin, it's a definite red but don't think it was as nasty as it looks, it's one of them where the foot is up for the ball and he's not fully aware of whats around him.....No escaping that it is dangerous play. He is an aggressive player and it's probably a lot of what makes him as good as he is, he still didn't look 100% on Tuesday so hopefully a silver lining is he can have a proper recovery.

Said it ages years ago, said it last last season, said it again this season...Mullin is a flat track lower league clogger. Unsurprising behaviour. Cloggers gonna clog.

assistant manager reckons that initially the ref was going to just give a yellow card, but the lino (who was 50 yards away) bent his ear and it turned into a red.

either way, its a sloppy tackle. Mullin claiming a slip
