Sounds like we've been fucked over by that ref today. We're shit though, no two ways about it.

Good job Halifax, I see Lincoln failed to beat you once again. That's only one win in the 12 league games against the Shaymen then.

Much better performance from the boys today. Worked hard, kept their shape and limited Grimsby to very few clear chances. Next to no attacking threat from us but I'm happy with that. It's a point i didn't expect for sure.

Terrible result. We finally find a goal scorer in Ross Hannah and the rest of the team continually underperform.

Thought we were fine today to be honest. Controlled the game and had numerous chances. Rankine just bulldozed in a header out of nowhere. Worsnop flapped at it a bit, so expect a post from someone about that later.

Worst result of the season though for me, against an absolutely shit Altrincham side.

Six points from the Shots. :woo:

Cruising at 2-0 and then did our best to throw it away. Who's next? :box:

Holman gone now apparently. No surprise, Hill will pull another one out of the hat somehow. Someone will probably buy Goddard too. Still, we're basically safe now which was the target in our 'transitional season'.

Hard fought win today, coupled with some good fortune.. All in all a decent Christmas apart from Boxing Day.

Tranmere need to get shut of Brabin, only has one game plan and it's horrific.

Thought Woking were lucky to win that, although they produced the only bit of quality to go 1-0 up. 2nd goal was 2-3 yards offside, which the linesman would have seen had he not been 5-10 yards behind play....

2nd half we battered Woking other than the occasional counter attack and really should have earnt a deserved point but somehow Charlie Walker decided to take on the crossbar challenge from 6 yards :hb::hb:

Funny old game. We should have been out of sight before you got one back. Had you got a point it would have flattered you BUT, you didn't! :woo:

A point wouldn't have flattered us at all, in fact I think a draw would have been a fair result.

Edit - Clearly you were the better team....

Anyway when is your open top bus tour?

Tranmere's "style" of play is awful, no need for it with some of the players they have, they could play some decent footy if they wanted. I thought we were good value for the half time lead but came a little to close to the edge of conceding in 2nd half for my liking! Sat a bit too far back but still looked threatening on the break. We deserved at least a point from Boxing Day so getting 3 today makes up a bit for it.

Decent following from Macc, made some good noise too.

If the game was based on the last 15 minutes, then you deserved a point. We controlled the first-half and deservedly went in 2-0 up. Holman had one disallowed for offside, he missed a one-on-one and Jones had a header off the line. Robinson should have made it three in the second-half. You've clearly been BRAINWASHED by Barry Smith with this whole 'we played well but lost' thing that he's said after every one of your nine defeats in eleven. Quite remarkable that you've 'played well' in nine games and lost them all.

Tally Ho. :woo:

Match abandoned at Crabble after about 66 minutes...we had most of the ball in the first half with Welling making the most of what they had (great save to stop them taking the lead).

With the wind and the rain I hid in the Centre Spot (bar) for a good 25mins before venturing out for the second half...t wash it off mudbath by then and the abandonment was to be expected even though we were having a better time of it.

Highlight was meeting our man OTID/Franco/ Look Out There Are Llamas for the first time.

Very one eyed view that, the stats dont agree. Having said that, you have improved a bit since the last 3 games which we won with ease and despite all our injuries, which got a whole lot worse today,... we could and should have won it towards the end.
It was quite an open and entertaining game overall and nothing much in it.

Another sweet strike from Ollie Norburn from the left hand corner of the area for our goal. Completely against the run of play. I think it stunned the Mariners and the home crowd. It certainly stunned us Guiseley fans!

It wasn't a bad game actually.

We should have been out of sight at half time really, you did have a couple of chances on the break but otherwise didn't offer much at all. From our point of view it's a ridiculous three points dropped. Thrown away in very typical Chester fashion.
