We were pretty poor second half as we just tried to manage the game but that referee was shocking. What was that freekick given for? Was it because the flag went up so Santos stopped, placed the ball down thinking it was a fk? But the ref then decided it wasn’t offside after all? There were some bizarre decisions

Well fuck. As gutting as that is to concede so late, it’s what we deserve. Well done Oxford, bar the Plymouth game they’re the best side we’ve played this season.

So, so frustrating. You can’t be playing square pegs in round holes, tinkering with the side every week and dropping your best players from the game before. Barry Bannan played wide right first half to accommodate Lewis Wing who couldn’t pass fucking wind in a Wednesday shirt.

I'll settle for that. Going into the game with so many injuries, two forced changes with Bridcutt and Poole going off in the game, we battled well. Plymouth could have gone in at half time with more than a 1 goal lead. We were much better after the break though and the subs really worked for us. Not sure about their equaliser (offside?) or our penalty? But a draw is a goos result. Tough league.

Horrible horrible weather - absolutely drenched.

That second half was the worst 45mins under Artell. Ridiculously shit from manager and every single player.

As for having us run out to Sweet Caroline… you can fuck right off.

We’re going down without a doubt, we’ve played all the smallest clubs in the league at home and we’ve not beat any of them. A decent team will destroy us.

Annoyingly my iFollow coverage cut out at half time so I didn't get to watch the second half!

Great win for us. I would have loved to have been there; given the side we were up against I think most Oxford fans would have taken a draw but given the first half display you wouldn't begrudge any Wednesday supporter for being frustrated. The set up was all wrong (how deep was your back line by the way!? Surely that's not a common theme?).

It was a pleasant watch from the perspective of OUFC, however I'd be infuriated with that performance from Shef Wed. Square pegs in round holes springs to mind; Marvin Johnson was never a left back even with us (as great going forward as he was); given the personnel I was expecting a lot more.

Announcing Robertson’s goal as “Glasgow Celtic’s Scott Robertson” was tragic as well.

We were better in the second half but it couldn’t have been any worse!

Some fans are calling for Moore’s head already. I’m not myself but he’s really not helping himself with some baffling calls, some of which you saw yourself today. It’s probably the third or fourth time we’ve served up a performance like that so it’s not good enough considering the squad we’ve got.

I knew we would be in for a tough game, I remember Robinsons MK Dons sides from last time we were down here and they were always tidy and well drilled. You shown today why you were so close to promotion last season, I reckon you’ll be up there again.

Given that over half of our starters are out injured, and our bench was kids, before the game I would have taken that. However, based on the performance a draw is a bit disappointing. Given the smallness of our squad and with so many out, as I have said for at least three games we are looking tired.

Sooner or later Charlton were going to win and they never looked like a team at the bottom. Two good strikes from them and another superb free kick from Danny Andrew which I thought would see us go on and win the game
Don't know how we did'nt manage to equalise at the end but it was one of those games
Until we start to keep a clean sheet we will always be chasing the game.No game next week so we might see some of our injured players back for the Crewe game

I think we didn't press you so high in the second half, which is understandable as that tactic takes a lot out of the players, and they sometimes drop off a bit in the second half. That, coupled with Herbie Kane going off after an hour or so, meant our ball retention wasn't so good and you were able to put a few dangerous crosses in. They are our Achilles heel, and when you scored from one I wouldn't have been surprised if you'd got another.

Thought we weathered the storm though and looked dangerous ourselves on the break, and we have a real craftsman in James Henry, who took his goal superbly. You could have had a penalty late on, it was definitely a push in the back of your attacker, but the ref missed a foul on one of ours in the build up to that move, and I've got a feeling he was levelling things up? It's not right, but it happens, and in a not particularly dirty game, he still managed to let a lot go.

This is not as easy a league as it used to be, and I hope you don't become another Sunderland, as I find your fans much more level headed than the "we should piss this shite league" lot from the north east.

The last few games have really exposed our squad depth, our first XI is competitive enough but as soon as we're missing a few players we're way off it. Rotherham are so so comfortable.
This, basically.

We looked ok first half, had a couple of good chances, but that was tempered by Scott Flinders having to make two worldie saves to keep it 0-0.

Second half, once Rotherham got ahead it was game over. First goal, Flinders made an error, but he more than earned the benefit of the doubt. Second goal was a fantastic strike. After that, they cruised to victory.

Last 3 games have been a real test - it's actually a blessing that the game with Portsmouth next week has been called off.

I didn’t actually see the penalty shout pal, would have to watch it back. The ref got booed off, maybe because of that? Other than that though I didn’t think he was too bad! We were terrible but on another day could have had 3 and undeservedly won after hitting the post and the bar. Football eh?

I don’t think you’ll find many Wednesdayites older than late 20’s who expect us to piss it. Both times we’ve been in this league since relegation from the Premiership we’ve really struggled in the first year then gone up the following season.

Well that was unexpected but MK can only blame themselves for not taking their chances hopefully with Taylor and Okenhibirie back after the International break we can pull ourselves up the table

Fantastic first half performance today. Managed the second half well in atrocious conditions.

No doubt the game would have been abandoned in the second half if the scores were level, but it would have been very hard on us after basically winning the game in the first 45.

The 3-4-3 had been looking good in previous games without getting the results, but it really came off today. First two goals were great moves followed by two long overdue poacher's efforts from Marquis. It's unusual to look down the team and say that every player was outstanding but that was the case today.

Hopefully the two week break won't break our momentum.

Going off at half time wining 2-0 to sweet Caroline is rather odd and I would feel uncomfortable if it were the other way around.

I’d just like to confirm that Bolton do indeed have the best player in this league in Oladapo Afoloyan, Masi said so which is good enough for me as I’m sure he’s seen every team in this league play multiple times to be able to gauge such a solid opinion as ‘the best by a country mile’.

Is Declan John still the best left back outside the prem? He had a shocker at our place and this £10m winger they’ve got was in Iredale’s pocket all game.

I think you have misspelt a word there, it is whining when applied to Alex fans.

Love the fight in our team, many a United side over the last decade would've never looked like getting back in the game at 2-0 down.

Similar thoughts to the Cheltenham fan where I think our lack of depth is beginning to show, and I still worry for us if Ironside gets injured at all. Clear that we need to get Adam May in the starting XI along with Hoolahan and Shilow Tracey, probably at the expense of Liam O'Neil who is a bit of a passenger and difficult to justify playing both him and Digby when we're letting in 2 goals a game.

Still wish Bonner would act 10 minutes earlier than he does, we definitely could have won that 3-2 with a few extra minutes as they looked all over the place when under pressure. Very few games this season where it's looked like the defence we're up against is so good that we won't be able to create chances, would be nice to put our foot down a bit earlier if our defence isn't going to be resolute as is looking the case.

Still in good spot though, tough game next weekend before two big home games, 4 points would be alright from that but we've got it in us to get a few more than that.

I think both would have taken a point before the game as we're in similar situations, but you'll probably be more disappointed than us after the game.

Good job we have next weekend off, albeit a Tuesday Pizza Cup game against Sunderland.

No chance of winning today our record there is abysmal, been saying we are due a win there for too long that I've accepted it will never happen again.
Enjoy your win.
Very comfortable

We are. We have drawn two away games in a row we were winning until virtually the last kick. This is why we won’t be top six, had we won both maybe we might have been there or there abouts.
