Don't expect a big away following. Luton Town FC informed the club at 2pm today that they won't be selling tickets on the day, so fans had until 5pm tonight to buy their tickets from CUFC. This will sting our London based fans as well as a lot of fans who were in work this afternoon and didn't find out this info until they got home after 5.

You'd be lucky if we have 300 in the away end.

No successful team in this league play 4-4-2. That formation has really died a death the last couple of seasons.

The referee himself makes the decision to overturn a decision.
You sure? I was under the impression that the appeal is sent to the FA and a group of people look at the evidence and decide.

Every game we have (bar the ones where we expect sub-200 I guess) are all-ticket for away fans these days. Reason being we have to know how/where to split the Oak Road. The police simply wouldn't tolerate us making it pay on the day given all the segregation issues with that end.

Very poor form if the club really did only inform you of that today though. Uncharacteristic really, usually we're pretty good at things like that.

Nope, got it wrong myself. It's just the way the tweet from our club was worded, as if they'd just been informed by luton. But it was in fact in the original ticket details.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I am going for a shock draw (shock mostly as we don't do draws)

1-1 me thinks I can see us taking lead, playing well due to that reaction from Tuesday, but we maybe panic abit in the last 10 minutes due to our late collapse trying to make sure it 'doesn't happen again' and that costs us.

3-0 defeat. Tuesday will have knocked our confidence, and we'll still have a hangover from it.

Arguably it's the whole idea of numbered formations that is on the way out. These day's they're just labels to give observers a rough idea of the team's shape... but a 4-3-3 could be equally described as a 4-3-2-1 or a 4-5-1, they give roughly different ideas about how attacking the team are set up but don't tell the whole story as players may move around depending on whether attacking or defending, and similarly 3-5-2 could be 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 or 3-6-1.

Going for a draw, 1-1 or 0-0
We matched Shrewsbury for the most part on Tuesday, think we could do the same tomorrow. We won't be as attacking, but by the sounds of it Luton are missing a few key players, so we have a good chance of at least a draw.

Would be very shocked if Potts started, with Dempsey back from suspension and Kearns looking a handful in the last few games. Troy should be back too, so Grainger can move back to left back, making the defence much stronger. Brough doesn't really deserve to be dropped after his performance on Tuesday.

Just got a bad feeling that a few issues are going to snowball and we'll get beat fairly easily.

At least Billy Paynter won't be on the pitch this time to miss any 2 yards out tap ins.

M1 is completely fecked between J12 and J13 - closed completely due to a very bad accident - if any Carlisle fans were planning on travelling that way.

Our second choice keeper is having a nightmare.

Seriously need Gillespie's injury to not be serious.

Riding our luck so far by the sound of it. Hopefully Wyke or Rigg pull something out of the bag for us.

Sounded resonably comfortable as our defensive disruption grows with Wilkinson's red. Doing a really good job of staying in touch plugging away with single goal wins and draws when clearly not firing on all cylinders.

Thought we should have been out of sight long before Wilko got sent off, looked so much more threatening with 2 players up front, that's how you get the best from Cullen in my opinion took his goal really well and him and Stockley both had great games.

Got ourselves in a stupid situation with the sending off, poor kick from Tyler but I thought one of Robinson or Drury who were in the vicinity should have won the ball we didn't and it was a blatant but probably necessary red. No complaints.

After that we held our well, I thought bringing Pelly on was a mistake, he's a one speed player and that speed is not sit back and see the game out but good to see him back and involved despite a few dodgy moments. Much happier than I was Tuesday but might have a centre half issue now!

Pretty comfortable considering, Carlisle (perhaps understandably) showed a serious lack of intent throughout. Bar the two chances in stoppage time I never felt threatened.

"Shit" Mark Cullen was excellent. Griffiths and Smudger were very good too, we missed Griff badly last two games. Wilkinson was excellent until the sending off, that's a big loss.

Just from listening on the radio, I'm really disappointed with today, Sweeney's performance aside... more so than with the defeat on Tuesday... on Tuesday we were the better team and just mistakes at the end cost us... today we didn't make Luton work for the win after they went down to ten men which was really tough to take, it didn't seem to affect the game at all and it almost seemed as though Luton could have got away with naming only ten men in the starting line-up should they have wanted to.

Well we really needed that win and we really needed that clean sheet too. Along with a few very impressive performances. Cullen and Stockley linked up brilliantly at times and Smith dominated the midfield. Thought Robinson did OK considering he's barely kicked a ball for us in months.

We should have been 2 or 3 up again before the red card, need to start taking chances and getting on the end of some excellent delivery (I think the ball travelled along the floor straight through the area on 5 seperate occasions with no goal!!) or we will get hit with the sucker punch sooner or later.

As above Tho im delighted we've stayed in touch despite lots of injuries, suspensions and disjointed performances. Win the game in hand Tuesday and we're firmly in control of our own destiny.

Come on you Hatters.

As a side note - Carlisle were time wasting from minute 1. How appalling, how embarrassing.

I thought it was timewasting until they went 1-0 down and still barely sped up! Bizarre how long they took over every set piece seemingly, Grainger was particularly bad for it even at a goal down, no urgency whatsoever.

Not the worst result in the world, considering the other results, plus we're still 6th bottom.

The performance didn't sound very good though, and Luton seemed in control with just 10 men, with us creating no clear cut chances :(

Positive news that Dempsey has signed an 18 month extension though, been a key player all season.

Need 3 points against Wycombe next week, another tough game but certainly winnable

If you could take some more points off Wycombe that would be lovely!! I'd even forgive you for time wasting and send you a thank you card

Surely we didn't intentionally time waste, and if we did you should be thanking us seeing as you won it was only our own time we wasted.

I hope it was just a random off day and we weren't still reeling from the Shrewsbury game, because if we were then that's a dangerous place to be in and we could well go on a shocking run, all from letting an opportunity to go into mid-table slip in injury time.

Ask anyone at the game, your guys were dallying around, crossing sides of the pitch to take throw ins, purposefully dropping the ball or throwing it nowhere near where it needed to be. Keeper constantly walking from one side of area to the other to take his goal kicks. It was clear intentional time wasting.

No I will not thank you, we were all over you first half and you consistently attempted to interrupt our rhythm and pressure by taking 20-25 seconds for a throw in or a goal kick. Slowing the game down. Was very poor and unprofessional. Expect nothing less from Keith Curle really.

The referee is to blame too, he warned you after about 5 minutes, then failed to produce a yellow card until the second half despite it getting continuously worse.

Shock horror. Away team attempts to interrupt a home teams rhythm and pressure. Like it or not, when teams like us go to places like Old Trafford, The Emirates, Kenilworth Road, Anfield etc, this type of thing is bound to happen.
