Won 1-0 at Wimbledon.
5 straight wins.
Pinching myself after been cut adrift to now be on 37 points.
Bostwick is an absolute star for us and a great signing.
Crewe away next.
The turnaround has been tremendous and Jimmy Floyd must take enormous credit for that. Right now Rochdale look more than doomed, sad if they do go down as good away day at their ground and they are a Lancashire club

Decent point last night, tinged with a little regret that we didn't go for three but it becomes a decent point if we follow it up with a win at the weekend and getting 7 out of 9.

ID - re our pitch I thought there was a problem with drainage which we haven't been able to resolve due to lack of funds?

As to last night, we were head and shoulder the second best in all departments last night. Oxford managed to play some decent stuff on the diabolical surface whereas we just kept lumping it long and hoping for the best. There is a LOT of change needed to happen at this club or we are going to be on a downward spiral for some time. owner, chairman and manager needs a complete overhaul. The Wellens and Sheridan approach to playing football couldn't be any different, the players surely want to try and play some football, not just 90 minutes of hot potato stuff.

Final word to our management team who were asked by reporters why both centre backs were subbed on 86 minutes and the reply was that it was to counteract Taylor who kept getting in behind the defence. The same Taylor that was removed from play 5 minutes before! Of course now the club has banned the local newspaper from asking any questions at press conferences. Beyond pathetic and amateurish.
I saw on Twitter he had been banned. That really is digging another hole...

If I recall John Murray, Oxford Mail reporter was banned by Firoz Kassam in the early 2000’s for his reporting of the club.

As to the centre halves question; that’s incredibly poor. Cringeworthy stuff.

At half time during the Accrington game 2 of our subs had a disagreement at half time and apparently some punches were thrown. Of course the local press got wind of it and asked Sheridan about it and he blew his lid shouting it was such a ridiculous question, instead of answering the question like a grown man, downplaying it as passions running high in a relegation battle etc. Now we have a split between the club and the press, and of course the fanbase who rely on the press to know what the hell is going on.

Unfortunately because of Covid fans don't really have a way of showing any dissent, last night would have been seriously poisonous in front of a crowd, not that I imagine Sheridan or Power give much of a shit to be honest.

You've now seen, first hand what we have been seeing for months now. Absolute dinosaur long ball tactics without the playing staff to be able to properly adopt them. Jack Payne and Palmer in midfield for example are just not suited at all to playing in that style, and they end up just looking absolutely shit. It really is dire dire stuff.

The difference between Evans and Sheridan is that Evans has adopted the playing squad to be able to play direct football, which seems to work for Gillingham. We've gone from a pressing footballing side to one that now has been told to fuck posession and try and get the ball as far away from our goal as quickly as possible and hope for the best. We have some good footballers in the side, but they are being wasted by the absolute whelk in charge.

Has Payne played much this season? I'm assuming his early season form, where I think he impressed, has followed the same pattern as everywhere he goes?

Think you’ll agree, whatever Payne’s abilities are, they aren’t best served in a hoof it anywhere and hope for the best side.

I doubt we’ll see a more blatant penalty all season, clattered into him.

You should be down to 10 men aswell after your bloke elbowed Pearce in the head.

Head of the referees association has apologised to our gaffer for the penalty decision...

It's definitely split opinion, it looks more and more like a penalty every time I see it. The defender glances at JFC and absolutely clatters into him.

Constructive criticism here, but looking at the 2nd goal, the defence didn't have a clue, leading to a gift goal.

I think Sheridan is 'considering his future' according to the EFL Quest programme. Somehow I don't think you will be to upset to see him (or Power go).

Only 3 points between the bottom 6, and GDs roughly similar, means a very interesting battle.

Our defence has looked like they haven't had a clue the whole season. We've had 6 (will be 7 now we have signed Lee Camp) keepers and the defence has been chopped and changed. We did look ok defensively when he had Conroy, Grounds and Broadbent as centre backs but Grounds got injured and recently we've been very sloppy again at the back. Against Oxford from a simple corner their biggest player was allowed to run in and head the ball with no defender anywhere near him. The same happened again on Saturday but Vadaine Oliver was never going to not turn down opportunities of free headers. I don't really understand how at this level players can have so much space 6-10 yards from goal.

We have no game midweek so I suppose there is no rush to change things, but I suspect and hope we'll have a new manager in charge next weekend. We have a bid from an Australian businessman for the club so hopefully Power will be gone sooner rather than later as well.

From a personal perspective, i hope the West Country clubs in the bottom 6, finish 19th and 20th.
