I’d happily go for two leagues of 12 clubs based on current league placings for a season. My only criticism is that you can’t promote 4 teams from one of the 12 team leagues - that’s ludicrous.

And I’ve no problem with splitting into a League 2a and a League 2b with a having teams who finished in odd numbered positions and b being even numbered positions. It doesn’t matter how it’s split really (we can do east and west, alphabetical etc), but as you say it’s about having a 22 game season as opposed to a 46 game one.

That's what I meant, and not promoting 4 sides from the same section. As you've probably guessed by now, I'm far too impatient and always in a hurry to get things over with*. Posting on forums is no exception so I do get misunderstood a lot.

*with one exception of course and that's, erm, the act of reproduction so to speak ;)

£5k a week is obscene. No way should a fourth tier player be earning £250k a year.

From our league it would be easy to do, have league 2 north and south or alphabetically whatever, 2 lots of 12 teams, top 1 from each league goes up with mini playoffs for the 2 divisions to decide who else goes up.

Long as we don’t get stuck with all the southern lot I’d be alright with it

Nicola Palios makes an interesting point concerning how the ifollow platform currently works which could be a huge advantage to clubs with large away followings when games are played behind closed doors.

Currently if Argyle take 1000 fans to Morecambe that's a huge pay day for Morecambe and Argyle get nothing.

The same game behind closed doors? Morecambe lose out on 1000 paying at their gate, plus ancillary spend. Argyle probably end up with seven or eight thousand people paying to watch the stream, when previously they wouldn't receive a penny.

She is calling for games only to be streamed on the home clubs feed.

That’s not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all.

I lived in the Spalding area for a while in the 80s, does that count? :dk:

With regionalisation, if Walsall is in the north and Leyton O the south, the former is over twenty five miles closer to use. So no thanks.

By my warped logic (see earlier post), there would only be 5 teams in the south!
