The majority of Palace fans swing more towards GB's stance

Do they, like GB, ignore how stable they were last season under his management when predictions of doom were aplenty, and also how the start of this season they were in excellent form? The two Palace fans I know (I'm on the borders of Bromley too) think along those lines. I reckon Pardew wouldn't have caught half the flack he does if his teams' streaky form was mixed up, yet getting the same results and points across a full season.

Since arriving back in the Prem with Newcastle, he's been a streaky manager to both extremes but those streaks even out at generally mid-table finishes - the odd occasion higher, the odd occasion lower, evening out to him being a decent/average manager at this level. This season at Palace has been a perfect illustration of that.

Veretout is up there, yes, waste of space. Amavi was fantastic before his injury, I'll give you that, and Ayew would be great in a better side, I have to grant you that too.

Tbf, judging on what I've seen of him, he'd have either made you worse, or sat on your bench. If he can't get into our first XI at the moment, there is clearly something wrong.
