This should be a good thread Haddock!

Quite interesting as well - like how on earth can the U's (re-election applications = 1) be down in 94th while a club like Pools (re-election applications = 14 apparently) be 22 places above us?

And who the fcuk are New Brighton Tower and Middlesborough Ironopolis? Must be the sort of NL clubs that Shoddy was talking about the other day.

Ah right, got it. That's only a total points table and an average points per season one would've been fairer. So for ex, the U's have accumulated a total of 1735 in 40 seasons so the pps average is 43.38, while Pools' total points of 3595 divided by 89 seasons is 40.39.

I just knew there was something wrong with that table :cool1:

Haha suck on that Loughborough. You might have as many points as us but you're GD is MUCH shitter (-2 v -239). :bdick:

And who would ever have thought we'd have left the likes of Thames and Middlesbrough Ironopolis TRAILING IN OUR WAKE!?

Burton Wanderers, Accrington FC and New Brighton Tower, we're coming for you.

The lowest points total of any club with more than 100 years of league history. Classic Orient.

Must be pointed out that we spent a hefty chunk of those years (40+ seasons) punching above our weight and narrowly dodging relegation in Div 2.

It's strange that the top National League team in that table is in 15th and the top 4th Division club is 27th though....

West Ham and Southampton being so low highlights what a load of bollocks this is.

Sorry! I forgot the game was dominated by the footballing superpowers of Scotland, Iceland, Norway, Faroe Islands, etc. etc.

I annotated a diagram to help people like myself:

KR Reykjavik, Harfnarfjodur and the mighty Torshavn are tricky away trips on a Tuesday night in January to be fair.

Can imagine all the complaints when Torshavn call off a game due to a frozen pitch when the away side have just literally arrived at the ground. Long way back to Scunthorpe from there.....

Little wonder I had never heard of New Brighton Tower before. Wiki says they were a short lived club founded in 1896 and folded in 1901. As were apparently Middlesborough Ironopolis - 1889 up to 1894.

Loughborough (near me) is an odd one as they are Arsenals record victory and record defeat!

Now you know how they work out who is in the Brotherhood and who isn’t.

Whoa, you're telling me they don't think the U's are a 'proper' (lol) club then? Shit...:(

No team that doesn’t regain their league status within three seasons of getting kamikazied into non-league is a proper club.

Think your record should reset if you ever get relegated to non-league

Haha. You O's should count yourselves lucky you didn't end up in the connie back when it was more like L2 MKII with no less than 7 or 8 really good sides all vying for that one promotion spot. Would've taken you more than the two years then. But I won't be hard on you seeing what you lot had to go through when that cnut Bech was running your club.

Just need to be in top 92 in that table. Where are the U’s ? 94th, enough said.

Who's that in 91st place? Ooops, proper club MK Dons is who. And anyways, the joke that is the brotherhood does not recognise the likes of Halifax, Darlo, Chester and Aldershot all of whom are above the U's on that table.

Think your record should reset if you ever get relegated to non-league

Whoa whoa hold on. The brothers refer to it as the Great 92. What shall they call it then? The Great 46?

Couple of interesting things in the 'General Notes' part of that doc.

Quote -
''In the 1919/20 season, Leeds City were expelled from the league after eight rounds and their results were inherited by Port Vale, who took their divisional place. The results of those eight games are included in the records of Port Vale.''

Like what the actual fuck???

Quote -
''The Division Four game in the 1973/74 season between Scunthorpe United and Exeter City, which was never played, is here calculated as 0-0 but a win for Scunthorpe and a loss against Exeter, because Scunthorpe were awarded the points when Exeter failed to turn up.''

I thought I'b better google up some more info first before rushing to a hasty conclusion and declaring Exeter as tinpot, and I found this - https://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/news/2018/october/-city-by-number-no.8/

Fair enough. Exeter, you're not tinpot.

Quote -
''Former names of clubs (league appearances only):
Chesterfield: Chesterfield Town, Chesterfield Municipal
Hartlepool United: Hartlepools United, Hartlepool
Leyton Orient: Clapton Orient, Orient''

I don't have to google anything this time. Proper tinpot.

Leeds City were booted out Bury style and we took their fixtures on. Essentially like giving Barrow the Bury fixtures!

Just imagine the meltdown on twitter if that sort of thing was to happen again now in this day and age.
