May I ask why you support 'a bit of a fish' rather than a whole one (like a Haddock for instance)?

It's all well and good I suppose liking the respiratory organ of fish, but a bit weird actually following one!

I am from Kent originally, so it had to be Gillingham. By the time i went to my first Gills game at 17, i was living in Camborne.

Makes a change from all the glory hunting Mancs, Scousers and the like, who live here and never actually go to games.

I also go and watch the Spitfires when i can.

FGR's wiki page says this - 'The club was established in 1889 by Reverend E.J.H. Peach, representing the Forest Green area of Nailsworth.[3] The name Rovers was adopted in 1893'

Just the one name change then and, in my book, that's the sign of a proper club. What's proper tinpot is something like this -

Glyn Cricket Club > Orient > Clapton Orient > Leyton Orient > Orient > Leyton Orient

1920 was when we joined the 3rd Division South, we were founded in 1897 where we were UCL for 2 seasons, Midlands League for 2 seasons and Southern League for 14 to the start of the Great War during which we were Champions in 1909, runners up in 1911 and Charity Shield runners up in 1909.
