Thats unfortunate that mate but having seen the conditions it’s good to see the NFL consider public safety for a change.

Shaping up to be a good one in Houston at the moment. I’m a big fan of CJ Stroud, for a rookie he has had a remarkable season, one of the very few shining lights for me in fantasy.

Ended up being the Houston blowout we all expected :bl:

I'm not sure I can think of any sportsperson who is so different off field than they they were on field than Ndamukong Suh. Horrible c*** when playing but a bloody teddy bear in the studio.

Yeah was expecting the Cleveland D to keep it close but I guess when you throw Pick 6’s on successive drives there isn’t a great deal you can legislate for there.

Pretty ignominious end to the season for the Fins. When they look back their failure to beat teams with winning records really exposed them. Conditions were hard for them last night especially coming from Miami but if they hadn’t collapsed in the regular season it wouldn’t have been a problem. Seeing Tua reduced to throwing constantly short of the sticks as well suggests to me they might not be totally sold on him as the QB of the future especially on any market setting contract.

Yeah so Belichick is going to be the Cowboys HC by halftime at this rate. What a start from Green Bay.

Through to to the divisional thought we was generally clean the biggest issue is we are banged up especially at Linebacker Shakir Touchdown was a really great play to kill off the Steelers The Chiefs will be a massive challenge.

I know the Eagles have been bad for a good few weeks now but thought they'd give their heads a shake and have enough to beat Tampa. Clearly not.

Felt like that result for Philly has been the culmination of several weeks of strange football and coaching decisions. Who’d have thought putting Matt Patricia in charge of the D would yield such results??? Wouldn’t shock me in the coming days if Dallas and Philly join Washington on the search for a new head coach.

Meanwhile Atlanta have interviewed BB. That just seems strange even if it seems a logical fit. Could imagine the interview “so Bill can you tell me about a time you coached a team to comeback from almost certain defeat in a big game…?”.

Feels like Detroit should be a fair bit further ahead than they actually are in this game. Such a well rounded team now and it’s impossible not to like Dan Campbell. Truth be told I can’t see either winning in SF whoever makes it especially how they won last night, they will take so much from that.

Think Baltimore look pretty unstoppable in the AFC. They were magnificent against Houston yesterday in all phases. Maybe whoever wins out of KC and Buffalo can pull it out but I certainly wouldn’t be betting on that. Long story short I can’t see past SF and Baltimore in the Super Bowl.

Saw (and just nicked) this ridiculous stat on Reddit:

With their win over the Packers, the San Francisco 49ers will extend their 21 season streak of either making the NFC championship game or missing the playoffs entirely.

Just as the logo prophesied

That is pretty uncanny. I want it put to the ultimate test by using Jets green though.

Am really chuffed for Detroit. Nice to see a team that has never known success since pretty much ever enjoy a win like that, I will always be happy for any team in that situation. I HATED that decision by TB to go for 2 on the PAT though. I get the analytics and Collinsworth twisting himself to a pretzel explaining it but end of the day that created a lot of unnecessary extra degree of difficulty.

The Bills are cursed aren't they? They just cannot get over the hump. Neutrals will want Lions v Ravens in the Super Bowl, but reality says it'll be Chiefs v 49ers.

This one sucks to me I do feel Mcdermott's job should be called into question because year in year in the playoffs there seems to be no improvement in regards to beating KC

Always a tough one to take. No bigger crash landing than the NFL playoffs, most other sports it’s either a series or two legs etc. I think there was a case of some desperation at times for the Bills in certain coaching decisions specifically the fake punt. That never stood a chance of succeeding and I’m not sure if it was hubris wanting to give Hamlin a moment or whatever but situationally it was completely inappropriate.

Can’t imagine outright firing McDermott especially as he won the division. Problem for him is they’ve already changed OC once and he calls the defensive plays now so the buck has to stop with him.

I can’t see anything other than Ravens v Niners in the Super Bowl. Ravens I think will deal easily with KC, they’re just too good both sides of the ball and nobody is at the level of Lamar right now. Too much to overcome for me.

KC back in the SB then I guess. Annoying but fair play to them. Hope SF win later coz they stand a better chance of beating KC in two weeks than the Lions would I think.

Also a bit annoying watching this game and thinking the Bills could/would have beaten the Ravens when they're playing like this

Will the Lions ever have a better chance to make the Super Bowl? Doesn't feel like it.

Yey, Niners v Chiefs again, rematch from 4 years ago. Just what we all wanted. Mahomes man, very good chance for his 3rd ring in 5 years.

Going to be hard to even win the division I think going forward if Jordan Love keeps his upward trajectory and if the Bears hit it as I think they should in the draft. Vikes will be competitive too if they can sort out the question mark at QB right now, personally I’d anticipate Kirk back another year or two. Shame, they’re a likeable team.

Hopefully the Niners win this one. I do like Brock Purdy and respect his story from last pick of the draft to where he’s at now. Plus some of the narrative around KC is starting to get nauseating now, they need bringing down a peg or two. Last time these faced off in the Super Bowl there was a global pandemic right after so hopefully that’s not an omen.

Only a 3 point game but it feels like the Niners are dominant in everything but the scoreboard. At least got to to hear Romo sing along to Adele as cut to an ad break.

Feel terrible for Greenlaw with that freak injury. Niners front 4 putting in work so far though.

I watched the game on DAZN. Does anyone know how to cancel it? I don’t want to be re-billed.

Have to begrudgingly give great credit to the Chiefs. This was supposed to be a down season for them, kinda rebuilding even? And Reid and Mahomes just adjusted instead. To go on the road in the playoffs and beat the #2 seed and then the #1 seed and then the #1 NFC seed in the final, just can't argue with that run.

Might have to start following a different sport though tbh, one with a less predictable champion. Like F1 or summat.

Well our cap cuts have been brutal Poyer and White have been cut and it is very likely Hyde is gone as well it is going to be interesting to see how we replace these massive losses

I actually don’t think they’ll be as big losses as some might think. Poyer just to the naked eye looks like he’s lost a step and White does have an injury history. Still got Ed Oliver and the key one Milano returning. Safety is a position where there is a lot on the market. Particularly like McKinney of the NYG and Simmons who Denver cut.

Got to say free agency doesn’t seem the strongest in the positions we need to strengthen. Best receiver now on the market is Ridley and I’m not convinced at 29 he’s the smartest long term investment.

Unfortunately I agree with you White, Poyer and Hyde was for as long as Mcdermott has been HC the biggest strength of our defence but the Safety free agency does look good for picking up somebody at a knock down price

Free agency receivers there does not seem many elite ones available but the draft seems very deep I am going to go with the Pats taking a QB in the 1st but I could see them going for receiver in the 2nd maybe somebody like Ladd McConkey

Yeah the draft is really deep for receivers and also at tackle which is a rarity. This is the draft to stock up there. Truth be told am just desperate to skip ahead to the draft now, you really notice it more when you at the top of the order but liar season is in full swing. Seen reports the Pats love Drake Maye and then they hate him, same with Jayden Daniels and also they are shopping the pick but other saying they are using it. Gets a bit much after a while.

The Mac Jones era officially over with him traded to Jacksonville. I hope he does well there. He was certainly never going to be elite but if there was a book to be written on how to ruin a young QB what Belichick did to him after his rookie season would be exhibit A.

And now we have traded Diggs away and we are eating $30m in cap as well think without doubt the 1st is going to go on a Wide receiver

Draft in two days time and can’t wait. Not least as am completely mock drafted and “should the Pats trade down as they don’t have the roster for a franchise QB?” out.

For me it’s very simple. Caleb is going to Chicago so whoever out of Maye and Daniels at 3 is remaining (my guess is Drake Maye) you take him then figure things out after. Little short of the Vikings offering 4 1sts plus Jefferson would move me off that which they’d obviously be mental to do that. Also have to look ahead and next years QB class is bad so get one now. Expect a very offense heavy first round. The top tackles will all go early and teams like the Bills will want a WR.
