If ever there was a play to sum up the Niners season it was that. Oh dear.

The loss of Keenan Allen really hurt Rivers. A lot of what the Chargers like to do is based around him. Hasn't helped they've had no running game to speak of. the Melvin Gordon draft pick hasn't really worked out as yet.

This would be interesting but there's no way this Chargers defense will stop Peyton.

Rivers' arm is weaker than Manning's.

And that's the sort of help Rivers gets. Game over.

Let's go pip.

This really couldn't have worked any better for Denver could it? Not only do they power through to secure home field advantage, they do so with Peyton back in the fold, fit and firing. All that after rumours of Peyton being unhappy with being backup to Osweiler etc. All falling into place for them.

Peyton will end his career in the divisional round the exact same way he lost to Indianapolis last year I reckon. The same problems are all there, he can't throw accurately down-field and teams will jump his short/intermediate passes. I'm pleased he will go out on his terms though, starting for a team in the play-offs.

Seriously San Diego the first down marker is the other way. Stop calling these running plays, they're not working.

So annoyed with that, before Rivers threw that pick on third down Peyton was getting rattled. If they punted this game would've ended with a grandstand finish.

I'd love the Bengals to get one over the Steelers but every time a neutral wants them to win they mess it up. They're like the Arsenal of the NFL. Why did they lose to TJ Yates the other week?

Chiefs fans won't be too disappointed, I reckon they'd fancy Houston over Pittsburgh if they wanted progression to the Divisionals.

Pats losing out though was mental, if I was a Pats fan I'd desperately want to avoid the Chiefs after what happened last season.

Denver will still be one and done.

Think the Steelers will be mighty happy, can easily see them winning in Cinncy, more than anything the Bengals need to get it into their head that they can win a playoff game. Steelers would then go to Denver and again could see them winning that. Be an interesting matchup as the Steelers have turned into this high powered offense with a bit of a dodgy D and Denver have the best D in the NFL.

Tough to call the AFC but on form you'd think Kansas City is the team to beat right now and with D winning championships and all that I'd say Chiefs-Broncos AFC title game.
Anything other than the Cardinals-Panthers in the NFC title game would be a surprise, but the Seahawks are going to be dangerous as always.
Are we about to see a game everyone wants to lose with the prize of avoiding Seattle and getting Washington instead.

Just delighted to be in the playoffs, when we'd lost Charles and gone 1-5 I thought the season was all but over. Bring on the Texans.

For the Steelers to make the Super Bowl I think the one team they will want to avoid as bad we're playing right now is the Pats. They just don't match up very well against us and never have. It's similar to the struggles we've had with the Ravens down the years.

I've just got this feeling that with Peyton back for Denver (and I do believe this is his final year) this has all the hallmarks of the Ray Lewis retirement tour when they got hot and won the Super Bowl. They have looked very ordinary all year but that D always gives you a shout.

Think we get a rematch of Super Bowl 48 if I was to put money down now.

If I was a Minnesota fan I'd want tank this game and take my chances at Lambeau next week!

If D wins Championships, don't write off that Houston D at all, it's improved dramatically as the season has gone on. However their Offense is very inconsistent and could hinder their hopes. I still think the Chiefs have enough to overcome Houston but it won't be a blowout.

I'm still not convinced Peyton will be any good in the playoffs, he was up against a poor D today, imagine him against the Steelers pass rush. If there's one man to prove me wrong though it's Peyton.

Great fake punt, I know we're meant to dislike our division rivals but I just can't with the Vikings, think Mike Zimmer is a superb coach and I kinda like Bridgewater (i'll ignore the childbeater in the backfield)
Did I see that actually the Packers can't get to Washington - if they win they get Seattle at Lambeau and if they lose they go to Minnesota. Seattle-Green Bay would be a very nice clash, hopefully in driving snow and -20 degrees.

*although didn't they beat the Seahawks earlier in the season - so would hold the tiebreaker, I'm utterly confused by who goes where in this 3/5/6 seeding.

Basically - Green Bay win = Minnesota at home
Green Bay loss = Washington away
Minnesota win = Seattle at home
Minnesota loss = Green Bay away

Home to Minnesota - have to favour them in a home playoff game. Washington are clearly the least good team in the NFC playoff field but I'm pretty sure the Packers would prefer a home game.
