One day I'll get to Lambeau... probably when the kids leave home in 18 years time :D

---

Looking forward to seeing Kelly HC the 9ers - I'm not quite ready to write off him or even Kaepernick just yet. I suppose after the sobering season of Tomsula (obviously set up for a fall) it can't get much worse in 2016, and both QB and HC know they're getting close or even at last chance saloon.

I'm not having us lose heavily to a Chip Kelly team for the second straight season next year!

Even if Chip has a poor season this season unless it's tragic (like 1-15) he'll have 2017 as well. Baalke will be sweating like a pig now Chip Kelly has been hired plus Kaepernick will definitely get a chance. I think maybe that's how Chip got the job because he wanted to give Kaepernick a second chance to prove himself. Hopefully Chip has learned from his mistakes in Philly because there are a lot of good things about his philosophy, it's just his man-management was beyond awful with Philly and he needs to tolerate egos on his team.

Niners will be a team to watch next season!

On the behalf of Manchester United, I would like to make a bid of £67 million for JJ Watt.

Kaepernick will be rejuvenated in Kelly's offence, it's a very good fit in terms of head coach and quarterback. Kaepernick was Mariota's pro-comparison during the NFL draft and this is pretty much the best news Kaepernick could have hoped for. Whether he'll be able to get along with everyone else is another matter, but I'm excited to see that. If the Eagles hadn't fired Kelly, I just assumed he would pick Kaepernick or RGIII up off the trash heap to replace Bradford. His offence is just so much better with a running threat at quarterback. That said, in division he now has to face three defences who haven't had a trouble vs Kelly in the past.

Coughlin's only hope at a head coaching job next year is if the Lions fire Caldwell now. Pretty lame way to end an impressive coaching career if he's done for good now.

If he signed for Man Utd he'd win the Ballon d'Or in his first season. I'm not even joking right now.

I'd go against the grain and suggest Kaepernick isn't a good fit at all for the Chip Kelly style. I think people assume Kelly's offense just needs a QB that can run but it's far more dependent on someone being able to make quick reads and accurate throws.

Caldwell is staying as HC in Detroit, Quinn said after talking to him their 'football philosophies are very similar'. He was apparently also swayed by the support Caldwell has from the majority of the players who spoke to Quinn and told him to keep Caldwell on. Should mean Cooter back as OC (he only has a contract for the remainder of the season) and hopefully Austin back as DC. Austin interviews for the Titans tomorrow as his last shot at a HC job, fingers crossed they turn to someone else.

Also - the new L.A Rams logo - disappointing for anyone who wanted to see the 80's jerseys back - it's the current dark blue and gold colours - still they might style the kit the same just not yellow and blue.

Interesting little interview between Kraft and Jim White (why?) there. Most notable was White saying how Kraft was the one behind Brady appealing his ban at the start of the year. That's a ahem unique interpretation of what happened bordering on utter bullshit.

Also when he said personal reasons were why he didn't invest in a Premier League team. Here is me thinking it was down to no salary cap in our league...

Amazing how one person can bask in the glory delivered by Brady and BB. Not that he doesn't deserve any credit of course but his greatest act of owner is staying out of BB's football decisions.

Anyhow Go Pats. Think this is going to the wire though.

Perfect start.

I guess running plays will be an endangered species based on that first drive by the Pats.

With Edelman out there again, Patriots are Superbowl favourites again for me. They were the best team in the league until he went down and I know it's only one drive, but they looked like that offence again on the first drive. Everything is opened up for them again, even with a shoddy offensive line (it has been shoddy for years). Hope I'm wrong though, let's go Chiefs!

Also, fair play to the Lions for staying with Caldwell, I think he's done a very good job to this point. If the Titans end up sticking with Mularkey, they deserve to continue with the Browns as the laughing stock of the NFL. They had a chance to land great coaches with Mariota at quarterback, but it looks like they are settling with an also-ran.

The Chiefs can't afford to settle for field goals in this game as they have done the past month of the season.

Chiefs offense putting together a nice drive here. Burning a couple of time outs already isn't great though to be fair.

And piss off Dan Fouts, was nowhere close to roughing the passer.

What's the betting the NFL media don't give him the same treatment as Burfict though...

The most automatic play in Football. The TFB QB sneak. That said I actually think he was in on the play before. Either way will take that. Great drive. Nice to see a couple of hand-offs to SJax as well.

Haha, well they might if the game was on the line.

Well, this game is over and so is the AFC. Too easy. Yawn, so sick of the Patriots.

Some all time great Andy Reid coached clock management here in the first half.

This is not much fun. Don't look like we're going to make anything happen in the redzone atm. Still a full half though and one possession game, stay positive.

Alex Smith - king of the field goal drive. Not good enough against the Pats I'm afraid.

Smith has overthrown a lot from what I've seen so far, especially in the redzone, right now the Chiefs look like a team who would rather not make mistakes on O than take a gamble, probably hoping their D wins them this game.

Big play by Chandler Jones.

Chiefs biggest issue is the amount of time they find themselves third and long so far. It's allowing us to key on Kelce and Maclin.

Re - Mularkey, I guess that franchise is just allergic to winning. Fail to see how that's the best candidate for the job.

Eugh, stop being so good you Trump loving fuck. On the fumble, I don't understand why Reid is sharing the backfield, West was great on his own during the season as a workhorse. Davis is a liability.

I wouldn't say so just yet...
What about now? :ohn:
