Rule Tranny out, sinking like a stone. But they've still consolidated well due to Norwood.

I would have agreed with you a week ago but our new signings looked more then useful on Saturday having bedded in more than they did for the Northampton game when we had 4 debutants. I can seriously see us going on a run and forcing our way back into contention. Our next 3 are Cambridge, Vale and Notts County all of which. on paper at least. are winnable plus we have the likes of Carlisle, Bury, Milton Keynes, Forest Gump and Crewe to come to our place yet.

C'mooooon Grimsby!

After our season together in the conference I've developed a soft spot for you Northern sods.

I remember it was 4 years ago on Thursday 2015 where I spent my valentines day in Grimsby (romantic I know).

To this day I still have that bloody tune stuck in my head "When I was young, at blunder park, so proud to be, GTFC"

Have you lot made up your minds yet? Do you want to join us in L2 next season or not?

Bristol’s a cracking day out doesn’t matter which side you play.

Just give us 3rd now and be done with it.

In fairness, our run in is relatively favourable, but that seemingly means fuck all these days.

Rovers have always been my preffered Brizzle team, but we did indeed seem to get on well that season. Shame you couldn't catch Barnet in the end as I reckon we'd have had them at Wembley and gone up with you. Oh and if you want the best version of that chant, here you go...

Agree it was a good performance v Stevenage. Next 3 are not as straightforward as the league table might suggest though. Cambridge in good form, Askey’s usually got the better of us and Notts seem to be turning the corner. Probably need 7 points + to move up the table and in reality more likely we’ll take 3 or 4.

All worked out in the end, Barnet struggling in the conference and we're in L1&L2. Happy days!

How did Monkhouse do for that season?

Can't forget that Wembley unison song "FISH"

Monkhouse started the season well, but faded a bit as it went on. He probably played more than he should have due to a lack of wide options in the squad. Hurst seemed to really rate him though. Ended up missing out on the playoff semi 2nd leg and final through injury, which kind of forced us to change system which turned out to be a good thing!

Tuesday night games didn't do us any real favours, Tramere winning at Vale and Newport's goal rush at Meadow Lane were not what I was hoping for. Morecambe winning at Oldham however was a welcomed result for us Mariners.

A result at Honda-less Swindon would put a smile on my face though.

I doubt very much you'll get a civic reception if that happens.

Loads of interesting games tomorrow, nothing will be decided of course but the pecking order might change a little with so many of the top teams and chasers playing each other.
