I'd like to see Gabriel partner Koscielny. Liverpool will try to utilize the mobility of Sterling, Markovic, Coutinho, and Sturridge (if they play him through his injury) and Gabriel is much better suited to stopping this than Mertesacker. He was very good against Newcastle last time out and deserves a run alongside Koscielny. Coquelin's athleticism compared to our other "DM" options has been very beneficial for us, and is especially important against Liverpool. The key for our midfield will be his ability to quickly distribute when Liverpool press.

Avoid an early concession and I'm pretty confident in the three points.

To be fair, there haven't been many times Liverpool have visited the Emirates ahead of Arsenal in the league or playing better football.

Despite a run of good games, I have a bad feeling about this fixture. I know they're without Skrtl and possibly Sturridge, but we'll underestimate Liverpool. Should win, must win...might not win.

One defeat(albeit a hard hitting defeat against main rivals both in terms of tradition and league table) for Liverpool seems to really have had a bad effect on the positivity of their fans on here. I think they have reason to be optimistic, they are a good team with a very good manager. I think Skrtel is a miss for them though, he's not the most cultured centre half but he leads that back three they've been playing and their defence in general.
