It was criminal playing Carrick and Schweinsteiger as a midfield pairing. Criminal.

What is Rooney doing, trying to write his poetry on the field?

Should be 4.

What odds on a Utd red card? I can't see either fullback staying on at the moment.

Ramsey should've scored, he even telegraphed it.

What a miss by Ramsey should have been 4-0.

If there was ever a time for Van Gaal to repeat his testicular exposure motivation technique in the dressing room then it's today.

Van Gaal far too overconfident. You can't get away with Blind at centre back and young at left back against a good side.

Your doubts about him were down to the physicality of the league and whether he could cope with that if I remember rightly - about the work rate required and also his injury prone past? This is the opposite if anything - he is pressing TOO MUCH and totally playing a role that isn't suited to where he's been put on the pitch. He should be running a lot less than he currently is.

Unless Van Gaal told him to run about like a maniac and press like there is no tomorrow, leaving the midfield vacant then I don't know what he is thinking.

In addition, I talked about how in the last few seasons at Bayern he was a passenger most of the time and completely overrun against mobile midfields. It's semantics, but to me this is being overrun. Going through the motions does not equate to coping with the pace of the game.

I'm not sure if there's a fully competent manager in the entire league.

Will that certainly describes his performance so far today, so that's a fair shout in that case. It does seem like Van Gaal has specifically instructed him to press high up the field though and he seems to be doing it in isolation - which is totally pointless.

Tactically shown up. Breathtaking from Arsenal.

That save from Cech probably sealed the result.

If this was 5-0 it would flatter Utd. I can't remember such a gulf.
Utd must be better in the second half.

Arsenal have been brilliant, Man Utd poor. Arsenal should be 4 up too, though if Martial put that one chance away it could have made things interesting. Can see the second half being a controlled display from Arsenal.

I don't get why Schneiderlin wouldn't start in a game where we'd expect not to dominate possession. The pressing has been dog shit.

LVG didn't change fuckal, just continued to watch em tear United a new one. The speed and neatness of Arsenal's attacks have been amazing.

Schweinsteigers career ended one night in Munich when Cech touched his penalty onto the post. It killed him.

Whilst we have been poor I think it's fair to say Arsenal were sensational in that opening 30 mins, not sure there was a lot we could have done about it. Evrything they did came off and they were just too quick for us.

DOne ok since then but Arsenal have clearly let us into the game knowing they'll get plenty on the counter.

Young instead of Valencia is a huge mistake, Valencia is just a much more natural full back and his pace and power are so useful against Sanchez.

Carrick and Schweinsteiger away to a top team had disaster written all over it. Don't get why we ar eplay Schneiderlin at home to cannon fodder where his tackling and running isnt needed but then he is on the bench today. Van Gaal is just baffling at times.

Whilst I don't think Rooney was as crap as my quick look on Red cafe said he was he's just done as top player. Needs hauling off. Fellaini offers us so much more as a ten. I'm not sure there is a United fan alive who didn't utter 'fuck off Rooney' after that chip

I'd go for Mourinho patented 3 subs at half time. Schneirderlin, Fellaini and Valencia all to come on. Lets just shut up shop and try to avoid getting embarrased. Anything we can get with Fellaini flicking stuff on for MArtial is a bonus.

Martial diving to win a pen. Disgraceful. Was a very honest lad at Monaco, wonder where he learned that.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Is that right that Rooney hasn't scored an away goal in the Prem since November?
