Hahahaha. This coming from the ONLY club in this league to be singled out in a NATIONAL newspaper for their thuggish antics. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

"Harry Beautyman was lucky he didn't have his leg broken against Halifax... I've never seen such savagery on a football pitch"

Your team were a disgrace to the division under Aspin, sly fouls, diving, moaning and worst of all racism, on and off the pitch. Not to mention the odd bout of downright thuggishness.

Indefensible conduct all round, most organisations would have got rid of anyone overseeing this sort of behaviour much, much sooner.

Where to start. Well firstly "shock horror" the resident fuckwit of the football punditry world saw one bad challenge (and i won't argue that) against a player set to sign for his team and wrote a scathing biased report on our team, conveniently ignoring the fact that the team he was signing from had the worst discipline in the league. Even worse than those angels at FGR

Sly fouls. Name me one side in the division that doesn't.

Racism. Unproven and likely made up lies to act as a smokescreen for the FGR players' thuggish behaviour.

Diving. Utter utter drivel. Aspin's honestyin his teams was often his downfall. Whilst other sides benefitted from rolling around on the floor. Aspin's players have always just got on with it. Much to our detriment.

Your opinion on all things football is as always complete and utter shite but coming from somebody who takes Adrian dunham's comments seriously i can expect nothing less. Compare the red cards recieved by our respective teams over the past two seasons and come back when you have a leg to stand on.

It's laughable that some on here are moaning about our honesty whilst others advocate us appointing Kevin 'Nuncheatin' Wilkin as manager. A man who's sides are almost Dickensian in their dishonesty.

Since this thread was locked, I haven't taken it off topic.

For some reason skunkmightspray has decided to dig up a post from last week again, not sure why.

Hi SomeMightShay

I agree with whats been posted above. Could we refrain from dragging posts from over a week ago back to the fore when the matter had quieted down?

I will reiterate - if you want to say anything more on that subject can we please take it to PM?
I do really want to resort to handing temporary bans out.

Thanks

Just to clarify, no one has a clue.

The only thing on our forum is the ITK brigade having a willy waving contest.

The suspense is killing me, can't they just announce it already? I need to know who is going to follow in Lord Aspin's hoofsteps.

Announced with Darren Kelly as manager and Jim Harvey as assistant.

Kelly's only experience is 9 matches in charge of Oldham at the back end of last year before being sacked, but Jim Harvey has vast experience at this level.

Pretty happy to be honest.

Hmm Risky appointment for me. Kelly was awful as manager of Oldham apparently and the Oldham Fans couldnt wait to see him go.

Seem to have appointed them the wrong way round. Surely Harvey as manager with Kelly as assistant would make more sense?

Difficult time to go in at Oldham in the post Ched Evans fiasco. I've heard the fans hated him due to something to do with IRA comments, but time will tell.

Yeah true, but Harvey assisted him at Oldham and is clearly happy with the arrangement. The fact he's in that dressing room is good enough for ,e.

Called Martin McGuiness a legend on twitter apparently, after he met his mum at a Bloody Sunday anniversary event. Not that big a deal imo, he got death threats afterwards which is ridiculous.

Agreed, giving him abuse for that is completely nuts.

Harvey was a mate of our previous chairman and hung around the club for a long time like a bad smell.

I'm sure all the Oldham fans giving him death threats for that tweet can pat themselves on the back for their contribution to the peace process in Northern Ireland.

It will be easier to stay up then it would be to come up again. Some big clubs and big spenders already in National North, and the likes of Darlington and Salford coming up on the rails. If you go down you probably wont be back for a while, so this appointment needs to work out imo.

Agree. A combination of the points you make and fan apathy would be a shocking prospect.
