1st vs 3rd in the form table and 5th vs 4th (though we've games in hand) in the actual table, should be a cracker.

The game finished 2-2 up in Bury with them scoring at the death, both sides were evenly matched and in hindsight a point was fair despite the late goal.

Hoping for a bigger than normal crowd Boxing day, especially as Bury should be bringing 500 at least.

Will be interesting to see how Bury's much-vaunted midfield will fair against us - the game could be won and lost there.

Hoping for a tight 1-0 win

Your swamp of a pitch may have a big influence here. Our lightweight players do not like a heavy pitch or a high press. Danny boy V the boy Danny, should be worth dragging my weary arse all the way from Lincoln for this.

The pitch is only shit when Grimsby are in town.

Having the misfortune of experiencing the ever dreary greater manchester weather id have thought bury would have excellent record on turgid pitches (not that it’ll be turgid anyway)

Our pitch was shit for years but it appears SD1 borrowed enough money to fix the bugger.
You have enough shit next to the pitch with Fatcroft and the snooker cue

We haven’t lost to Mansfield in like 15 years so I reckon based off of that alone we will lose.

Typical Bury would be to hammer this lot and get arse raped by Notts

If you could lose to us and beat notts that would be much better.

We’ve a great home record and only let in 5 in 10 home games and unbeaten in 14. It’s got to come to an end at some stage, bury should be a tough match but if you catch us on form hopefully we can get the win

I'd take a draw, our away form is sketchy at the very best, Oldham was a great example of it. We could do with Mayor back as we're a bit lobsided without him and Mcfazdean would benefit for him being back.

Is he a doubt or something? He tore us an absolute new one at your place in October

Think Lowe said he has a slight groin strain so missed the game v Tranmere. No idea if he'll be back or not until we announce the line up tomorrow

How many are bury bringing over? I’d be expecting at least 500...

Heading for the Abbey out of duty and habit, rather than in anticipation - despite the scope for cliche "new manager bounce."

Could be the lowest Boxing Day crowd for a long time. I hope I'm wrong and the irregulars remain unaware of the root of our problem, that gallons of Calderwood experience and pragmatism can't remedy until next week - we still have no functioning strikers.

Whilst failing to stir the juices, Crawley may be the best opposition we could hope for at this stage - with the top 2 up next.

Where are all these strikers that the bottom half are looking to sign?

Battered em for 90% percent of the game, flattering scoreline for Bury.

Great results elsewhere, we are a serious threat.

Still not sure why half of our first team was left out today?

Was strange to change it up that much for Bury.

Was 500 the expected following? I reckon Mansfield would have doubled that if it was at Gigg Lane so I was expecting a couple of hundred more.

Our away form is only marginally better this season than the past 2/3 seasons. Probably won about 10 times maybe less in the last three years.

We’ve never really taken great amounts away from home anyway. Our core base are old.

Thought the first half was 50 / 50 then all stags in the 2nd.
Still not sure you should have had a pen but it would have been a travesty to sneak a poing in that 2nd half.
Good crack and good beer in the Railway, on to Notts and Hooters!!

One of the better games of football I’ve seen in some while, one of the better games this division will see all season tbh.

I think Mansfield really hard clicked into gear, the 2nd half bury didn’t get close, and their late penalty gave them a goal that they didn’t really deserve.

Had bury spent more time playing football - which they did well, especially in the 2nd half - rather than diving and play acting they’d have got much more from the game, instead they continued with a cynical way of playing football.

Great show from Mansfield all round, keep playing like that and we’ve a real chance. Nice show from bury fans in the railway, decent lads had a good laugh

Results went out way today, it’s fair to say

Hamilton must be attracting interest from higher-up now? Looks quality every time I see him.

Getting to the stage where you’d be looking at half a million in most Mansfield fans eyes. Obviously that’s our view so appreciate given he’s ours some might laugh.

The balls and space we create suppliment his play well.

Aye, it’s my local, was in the front room.

The staff are decent and away folk always welcome providing they behave
