I think as insults go , hellogregory calling me a little *&$# is up somewhere ! My fellow Poolies and I have been down this road before ..... If you want to keep it as banter , and that means losing the same as you win , then I'm in , yes 300 odd years ago someone hung a monkey , and yes some one somewhere in Carlisle has wool in his zipper , and that's fair enough for a cultural mickey take .... any further and I'm afraid I'm oot !

Jesus I've just seen this. Could you not tell it was a joke? This whole thread is a joke (everyone pretend you didn't read that please)
The whole Paynter being obese thing is that too. I just assumed you'd take it like that...In my head it was said in a non malicious way, I guess that may not come across in text on a screen. Or is it purely the word (no matter what context) that offends you? If so then please accept my apologies and I won't say it (to you) again.

He was looking fairly lean towards the end of the season for us, and is a decent finisher, just not fit enough... and also I think Curle took umbrance with the fact he was commuting from Liverpool. Curle has said on numerous occasions since taking over how he wants a squad of players living locally and committed to the club rather than people commuting in from places far and wide, who'll always have one eye on opportunities to move to a club closer to home.

I don't believe these latest Bingham to Man United rumours for one second.

Bingham's agent knows fine well that Manchester United are desperate for a world class striker. This is clearly a case of Bingham and his agent using Man Utd to broker a new improved contract at Hartlepool. He's going no where this window.

We can just add Bingham's name to the memes* doing the rounds at the moment about the number of transfer targets ManU have missed out on.

*hate calling them memes... Mainly because the word 'meme' was coined to mean something specific and subtle, and it did that very well, but now it just appears to mean any internet joke.

Paynter was fit for most of last season, that wasn't the problem. The problem is that he's naturally chunky and also that he's completely shit. His goals have dried up now and I don't think it's unfair to assume that that could be it for the season from him. Rakish may well have to carry your team from now on.

No better man for the job. Rakish has only let Billy take the bows to lull everyone into a false sense of security, when he hits second gear there'll be howls of dismay from the oppo and adulation from God's Little Acre.

5 games without a goal for Rakish now. Be loaning him out soon.
I won't hear of it... If our Lord Rakish Bingham hasn't scored in five games then he clearly has a bloody good reason for it. It's all part of his greater plan to save football, a plan us mere mortals can't even begin to comprehend.

Looks like Fat Billy might miss out on Saturday. Rakish will up his game to compensate for the gap if needed.

Woods didn't look in any bother when he went off on Tuesday , in fact he'd just got stuck in and seemed ok , Walkers the mystery , as you may know he's mates with my neighbour and I saw him and he looked fit as a fiddle and he took no knocks on Tuesday ..truth be known , we can cover Paynter , Woods not so much

Another game another goal, erm I mean another game without a goal for our Rakish. I'm fast losing my patience with him. It's looking to me this "playing for the team and not for himself' thing he's doing isn't working.

Rakish, when you've got the ball at your feet, please ignore your team mates, and finish it yourself. Otherwise you're not going to end up as top scorer, and I'll end up losing 50p.
