I would be delighted if we went up and remained ahead of Blackpool for another 20 years. Plenty of local derbies to go at anyway, Bolton, Blackburn, possibly Burnley and maybe even Wigan (although I'd rather they went down too)

Preston traditionally get bigger gates and atmosphere playing us, even though Preston Blackpool is the local derby

Alright cha. I've heard a rumour a few Nobbers are looking to come to your game with the Lashers in April, especially if it could be the final nail in the coffin for them. What are your ticket prices like thesedays?

How is Lonergan getting on? Seems to be No1 under Lennon, always pleased to see Preston lads doing well.

From avftt:

Poor turnout outside the west with people going to the game, I even saw people buying programmes and gold bond tickets

Any other club there would be thousands outside protesting

Waste of time and effort

Why don't people care?

Oyston out!!!!

#Mob

I'm feelin, glaaaaaaad all over....

Christ, Preston fans are classy.

Even when we had a string of absolutely woeful owners who took us to our lowest ebb, most Stoke fans felt sorry for us. They didn't wish non league or death on us. Some were quietly routing for us when we went up from League Two.

I'm unsure as to why any football fan would want to see such misery inflicted upon a fellow fan, regardless of whether they are your biggest rivalry.

It's boring never being able to play your biggest rivals. Trust me, we know all about it.

Hi mate.

Blackpool are having a bad season after several years of great success, that's all. The owners aren't trying to change the clubs name (like Hull), or their colours (like Cardiff), or move the football club away (like Wimbledon), or wind the club up for their own financial gain (like Chester). No, in fact Blackpool are one of the few football clubs in this country who live within their means and make a profit, and who look after their fans in terms of prices (I'm sure the Blackpool boys can confirm for us but it was either £150 or £199 for a season ticket last summer). The Oystons even made an away game free for Blackpool fans last year, something I've personally never heard of before in my life being done.

They are having a bad season and they are going to be relegated. That's it. Some really soft bad tits have taken to posting really vile stuff about the Oystons and/or the family children online, and as such they have taken the decision to take those people to court. I'm sure if you did the same sort of things to the people in charge at Port Vale you would face the same course of action. But you wouldn't do that because presumably you're a normal human being who accepts all football clubs go through highs and lows.

Hope this clears things up for you. Cheers.

Is that based on our one game at Deepdale since 1992, when there was less than 16k on?

I go back a bit further than that, my first game at Preston was 1981 when we won 2-1

We've rejected a loan offer from Blackpool for Brad Potts, after we rejected a 150k bid in January.

Interesting. Simon Grayson came out on yesterday and said the only significant fee we've ever paid during his two years here was the 50k we paid for Daniel Johnson last month.

Perhaps Blackpool fans need to join the real world and realise clubs aren't throwing millions around anymore? I see they were also one of the first into the loan market to take that criminal Madine on.

They won't spend the money they cry. Hmm....

Fair enough, I can't speak for the 80's but other than ex-hooligans who probably got into a lot of scuffs with your lot I don't think Bolton would be any more of a pull for PNE fans than if we were playing Wigan or Fleetwood these days. There's just no recent history there other than you dicking us in the playoffs which is just a formality.

During the 1980's especially you would get around 2000+ fans at our matches, but that may have been travelling support as Blackpool rarely travelled in numbers, no matter what they tell you

Just for Chris who's obviously a bit challenged.

I'll make it easy for you. Here's a few pitctures and some links. If you cannot see why we're upset. Then I give up with you.

I dont follow cha, were you not aware of the Oyston family history when you were lauding Premier League football over everyone? Where were all the protests then?

Why has this only become an issue since you've started struggling on the pitch?

Yeah, you don't follow. You don't have a clue do you? So with that fantastic discovery, don't pass comment? No it's not. Yet it still generates a far far better atmosphere than your boring soulless characterless ground.

:fl:

Your stadium is shite, always has been, always will be and so are your gutless fans, the ones you have left anyway. The day trippers have had their fun, back to 5-6k crowds for you.

Having a pop at Deepdale is plain laughable.

What's laughable? It's a boring dive mate. It's a shithole around it. The best thing about deepdale is the Sir Tom Finney fountain. Apart from that, a souless boring as fuck stadium with dribbles for fans. You seem to have far more than normal.

Haha, coming from a Lasher??

You lot are cringe on legs, orange face paint wankers with novelty glasses and wigs they've bought off the Prom.

Deepdale is a cracking stadium as opposition fans constantly tell us.

Anyway, i'm off to watch us play Man Utd in the FA Cup. Enjoy your evening.

So you play one game, you have nearly 14 thousand extra fans ABOVE your average for the season. If ANY club in football didn't have a good atmosphere against Manchester United I'd be disgusted.

But saying that, it was fucking rubbish when losing. And applauding Wayne Rooney when he scored was downright pathetic.

Our stadium is far far better for atmosphere. Factamundo.

By the way, did you enjoy defending for 90 minutes? Scored one goal that should have been saved. You are a rank average League One side. I'd be shocked if you got into the automatics.
