It's a trip to Salford City for us. Hope we don't do our usual trick of choking Infront of a big away following. Nearly 1300 Crewe fans travelling so should be a great atmosphere. Hoping for an unchanged team from the one that destroyed Stevenage. But I'm also expecting a tougher game. Salford were a funny side when they came to Gresty Rd. Pretty decent in the 1st half but abysmal in the 2nd as we beat them 4-1.

Salford 1-2 Crewe (Rooney, Kirk, Anene) 3,866 (1250 Crewe)

Away to Carlisle. On paper a game to rest one or two during such a hectic time but we just have one not very good striker fit, we’re dropping points for fun and we can’t score, so this won’t be a straight forward game at all.

Given what I saw back in September, there is no reason not to be winning this. They can be a tricky side, but they are very limited and have few quality players. They were organised and worked hard in the first half, but it still needed a calamity error from Jaaskelainen to help them score.

I fancy us away from home where they will come out at us and we can get round them like we did on Saturday. I'd fancy us to win, need to keep pace with the top 2.

We've got Crawley away, if we want to challenge this year then we’ve got to be winning these sorts of games I think, especially considering their form.

Cambridge at home. Should be a routine win although we’re not generally at our best at the CG.

Doyle to score his 87th goal of the season.

Mansfield away, not sure what to expect from them with a new manager but if we can repeat the level of performance we showed in the Cheltenham game hopefully we can come away with a point or better.

2 x 2-2 draws against them this season all be it this is the first time they’ll face our strongest XI with the injury crisis we had with the league game so hopefully can get a win.

Got to match the levels of Saturday and surely we will take chances sooner or later.

Home to Colchester. Last time they were our way we invaded the pitch, didn’t move for over an hour and the final 8 minutes got played as a training exercise behind closed doors. Pitiful from the EFL. Anyway, hopefully the Ewes will travel well for once and we get a good gate. Can’t see past an away win, despite our recent improvement.

Well that’s not quite true is it? You’ve got one very good and fit striker...it’s just that he’s playing for Swindon!

We have tough games coming up home to Bradford, away to Plymouth and home to Crewe so hopefully we can avoid a home banana skin game against Cambridge.

Confident that we’ll have enough for 3 points. I’ll go 2-0

Away to Cheltenham. Haven’t played for over a week so hopefully we’ll be fresher than them. 1-2 win.

Home to Newport. Always tricky, doubt there will be more than a goal in it.
Hope the pitch has recovered from Saturday

You should be ok. 2 points for us from last 7 league games isn’t great form. Can’t see it changing against you boys. We are really crap currently but I will travel in hope. Do enjoy a Boxing Day fixture.

It's OK we'll find a way to concede, even if we have to do all the work ourselves.
Can you arrange to do it twice please and if it can be done by the same fella, he will become one of our top scorers.

I’m struggling to contain my excitement at playing Macclesfield away.

Absolutely zero chance of us getting anything at Swindon. Could be that Wellens will field a weakened side but I expect Calderwood to do the same thing with Morecambe and Mansfield up next. Two home games that (at least on paper) shouldn't be as tough as Swindon away.

Then again, I'm also well aware that 'on paper' means nowt in the lower leagues, and that's the main reason I'm not big on managers going for an under strength starting line up.

If you can't score against a Macclesfield side in total disarray I don't think you'll ever score again

Port vale were poor in the league game at their place and were very fortunate to get a lucky draw, however as is often the case only seen them once so hard to gauge - 10th is also a pretty decent position for them too given recent seasons.

All I’d ask is we show the same level of commitment and effort we showed against Northampton - do that and we should be ok.

Either way, can imagine it being a close game

Despite our recent improvements, I'd be suprised if we got anything against Colchester.

Dean Brill now out for the season as well, so we're going to be bringing in a keeper at some point soon. Also heard that Conor Wilkinson MIGHT be on his way out as well after a disagreement behind the scenes.

We should get absolutely hammered today.

This team is the worst team in the football league for sure. A team bereft of quality or confidence. A team with gaping holes in key areas. A team with an awful couldn’t give a fuck attitude. It’s just terrible in every way.

I mean I knew this was a poor team a few months ago, but for a while I did think we’d have a chance of avoiding bottom spot. But worryingly this team is getting worse and worse by the week and with our track record of weakening the squad in January, I just can’t see how we survive unless Macclesfield get kicked out or deducted 20 points.

So yeah I expect Bradford to Turn us over by 2 or 3 goals today.

Did I really read that Artell said that Stevenage was a 'tough place to go'? Oh my days.

Boxing day football is an institution. The only thing that comes close to the same feeling is having a decent FA Cup 3rd round tie.

However for the first time in more years I can remember I'll not be attending today. Good luck to the lads but until that tyrant has gone I'll not be stepping foot in the ground again.

Tough game for us today against a hard to beat Walsall side. We haven't lost many recently and neither have they. We have a bit of an injury crisis at the moment with lots of players having to play out of position. Despite this, we are still grinding out results which is good to see. Can see it being a bore 0-0 draw today.
