2-2 now, guess that’s payback for what we did to them at VP.

Absolute throw away and feels like a defeat; 2-0 it’s so so comfortable but two huge errors to gift them a point and yet another away throw away. Absolutely furious. If we want to challenge we’ve got to put them to the sword and see them off.

Dire, Stevenage got on top second half and kept firing the ball in albeit low quality. We offered barely anything, like they all had hangovers. Mills got crocked a bit late after we'd used all our subs but he was a waste of space before anyway so hobbling about only a slight hindrance.

A port vale masterclass in how not to defend a 2 goal lead. We looked so comfortable. We've dropped around 20 plus points from winning positions. Why don't we do like other teams and fake injuries etc.

Big win that. 3 points off the autos with two games in hand.

Today is a great example of why I’ve never taken any talk of playoffs etc seriously. We are just so naive as a team. Much improved on what we have seen the last few years but still a lot of work to do before can even think of that.

Next up Swindon at home. Doesn’t come much tougher than that especially as we almost always lose to them anyway.

Fuck sake! Can’t be 2 up and concede 2 in the last 10 minutes! I would have took a point before the game, but if we want to be better and challenge the play offs we have to be seeing games like this out. It’s happened too many times this season now.
I’ve never known a team to panic so much when just a goal in front and the pressure mounts.

It did look however that Mansfield have spent all their money on their team and none on the pitch. It was a disgrace.

Get in, would have been daylight robbery had we lost that game, though I’d be annoyed if were a vale fan, largely dominated the game and had loads more shots.

Still playing at Crawley, as Shaun McWilliams was stretchered off and now striker Harry Smith has just been stretchered straight into an ambulance. 17 minutes of stoppage time and the ref has sensibly called it a day without playing the next 10 minutes. What a day.

I said it would be a miracle if we won but I can't believe we didn't. Don't think I've ever seen a more one sided second half of a game, Walsall only attacked once and scored from it.

If Grimsby fans thought Saturday was a smash and grab they would be going mental over this one.

That was way way better than I've seen us play at home this season. I didn't think we were any good at all but for the whole time we were playing poorly, our heads didn't drop and it looked like every player in the team thought they could get back into it. We have a long way to go but if we play with that belief in every game we'll start picking up points and eventually the performances will come. If you are a Port Vale fan you absolutely kicking yourself, throwing away a lead after playing well. One of the better visiting teams IMO.

Wasn't that bad was it? A bit zippy but to be expected with the amount of rain.

I’ve never known a team to panic so much when just a goal in front and the pressure mounts.

At 2-0 we were absolutely cruising and Mansfield were done, barely looked capable of a fight back but that error for Monty to give them a goal back just set panic in.

Mansfield weren’t great defensively and Rose was absolutely toss when he was on his feet but that’s the third or fourth time we’ve thrown three points away in injury time and that is what will cost us a play off spot. Not streetwise enough to do what other teams do and time waste and throw ourselves to the floor and kill games.

Not even sure how on Earth we’ve allowed them to score from that position late on either. Enough bodies to deal with it.

Decent effort on a cabbage patch of a pitch today but a big two dropped points.

Big win that (in appalling conditions). Despite our regular nemesis Porky Huxtable handing out more cards than Moonpig and seemingly using a calendar for second half added.

Halfway through and six points clear in the autos. Long way to go still but nice place to be at the moment.

Dreadful today, from the players and manager.

The manager decides to hook one of the 2 fit CBs we have and move our best player in Ryan Wintle into defence as a replacement. Crazy choice. Then he decides to bring on the dire James Jones, who's not been consistently good for 2 1/2 years. What would you know, Jones gives the ball away which leads to a corner. And the stand in CB Wintle OGs the 3rd and kills the game. Lovely.

Oh and to top it all off, Artell also hooks our most productive forward in Charlie Kirk for......reasons. If the 2 hooked players are sick or injured, I'll let him off. If not, his tactics were abysmal today, massively hampered any chances of a comeback.

Salford were limited but were better today. Played to the conditions better, did the simple stuff better, took their chances. Deserved defeat. Got to hope we can regroup and play better on Saturday.

A crazy 21 points lost from winning positions now...

no surprise that when you bring 3 decent players on for 3 cloggers we improve.

Will be very interesting to see what happens with mellis under coughlan

Mmm...I wouldn't say dominated. I thought we were good value for the lead and looked comfortable. You had more shots but none that troubled the keeper and didn't look like scoring until we switched off. Disaster that we gave it away to be honest but we've been doing that all season. Yes, pitch was very poor, muddy, bobbly, as bad as I've seen for a while.

We’ll be alright against you lot given your only player won’t be allowed to play. So 0-0 on the 4th.
He did fuck all today apart from dispatching the pen. The others were tremendous.

We were abysmal today BUT I don't want to infer in any way shape or form that our non show was the reason Swindon beat us 4 nil (could've been more if they didn't take their foot off the gas after they got the third goal)

I'm fully convinced now that Swindon are EASILY the best side in L2. Enjoy your promotion lads. Well done.

They had the first 20-25 minutes and the last 8 or 9 minutes otherwise we were comfortable once we settled in. Brown didn’t really have a save to make frustratingly!

Atkinson had a decent game covering for Jake. Today again highlights the need for a left back in Jan though.

I guess we’d have taken being furious at throwing away two points at Mansfield in August with us sitting comfortably on tenth and around 50-100/1 in the relegation odds at half way!

Three 2-2 draws with Mansfield this season with three injury time equalisers!

Smash Swindon and il let them off today! :err::err:

The pitch looked worse than it actually was, although admittedly it’s been fantastic for a few years now and I’ve not seen it like that in ages.

It was a very poor, evenly contested game. The only difference before the last minute equaliser was Vale taking their golden chance and Rose? I think absolutely fucking up our chance, I think it actually landed in Stoke.

It wasn’t to our usual high standards but there’s been a lot of rain on it and we’ve had a home game 6 days ago and the youth team had an fa cup game on it also recently.

All 3 games between us finish in 2-2 draws, with the bonus of you winning in that stupid cup thing
