Don’t underestimate Boring Bowyer’s powers to nullify our chance of goals, going again with five defenders, no Vaughan, this system has crippled us in recent weeks but tactical genius Gary knows best...
I stand corrected. Your team looked as inept in front of goal as us.

Thankfully for you your league position will make you an attractive proposition for a good January signing to sort that out. Us on the other hand, fuck knows where we go from here.

Where are the jubilations and celebrations from FGR fans for today's draw?

As expected, a defeat against a good Colchester side.

Apart from the first and last 20mins when we threw the sink at them and should really have scored earlier than we did, we were out played and Colchester were clinical with their chances. Only gripe is that the ref didn't spot a foul on Matt Harrold in the build up to their second goal.

Two royally out of form sides meet next when we take on Newport on Sunday - A nailed on 0-0 if we could actually keep clean sheets.

If we had someone who could score, or even bloody shoot, Plymouth would not have got 3 points today.

Alas their keeper only had about 3 saves to make, saves that my two year olds could have made.

We desperately need Luke Varney back - the sooner the better.

Didn't even know the match was in doubt until we arrived to find out that the 'third' pitch inspection had declared it playable!
Our team must have thought that it had been postponed, because they didn't turn up. Terrible performance, worst since Scunthorpe and made Crawley look like promotion contenders.
Two players stretchered off, waiting for an update on their conditions.
Not a good Boxing Day 2019...

Our ‘strikers’ can’t shoot or score either to be fair, so it was a level playing field.

A lot of work to do up front in the January transfer window in terms of both outs and ins

Halfway through and six points clear in the autos. Long way to go still but nice place to be at the moment.
Would bite your hand off for the same again over the next 4 months.
Our squad injury list doesn't make for pretty reading but we should have enough strength in depth to keep it up.

Unless they sign him on a permanent in the first couple of days of the window.
We’re tin pot but not even we’d sell someone and have the top goal scorer ever ever ever play and score against us hours later, they can wait till the day after to have him.

I'm convinced Crawley don't like me. I go and it's dull dross. Stay away (J can't make Boxing Day matches) and we beat play off contenders 4-0!

By all accounts we deserved to win too.

Sorry to hear about the two players stretched off. I listened to Curle's interview and he said he watched them back in slow motion. No one has said anything about a Crawley player scything anyone down so why watch it back?

Great win for Crawley. It will mean nowt if we don't follow up with a result in Cleethorpes.

Watching it back can give you an idea of how it happened, they weren’t scything tackles like you said so perhaps he wanted to see in a bit more detail

I didn’t go to Swindon yesterday and I’m pleased I didn’t. Swindon are obviously a decent side but we are dreadful.

Askey’s unwillingness to make subs is starting to bother me a lot.

It was obvious that Mansfield had got back in the game during the last 10 minutes and that we needed fresh legs on because of the heavy pitch.

All he needed do was bring on a fresh midfielder and/or another centre back and just see the game out.

Take Amoo off for Browne and that overload for their second goal on our right doesn’t happen, Amoo was nowhere to be seen when he should of tracked back!

Fair result yesterday. We are going through a very poor patch currently. Nice of you to turn the pitch into something resembling Dave Parade. Suited us more than you I would say. Don’t recall your pitch being so bad in previous seasons - what’s happened to it ?

It could easily have been 3-3 or 4-4 had either of us had a goalscorer. Oddly, it was a decent, open game and actually quite enjoyable to watch. We could still be playing now though and won't have scored.

Two home games in quick succession, after a LOT of rain. Cut up pretty nasty earlier in the week and was never going to be in good nick for boxing day.

Fortunately we now get a few games away from home in a row which may help the ground staff to sort it out a bit. The damage is probably already done though, just got to hope these rain stops and the groundsman works some magic.

Fair enough. Tidy day out all things considered, apart from the result. New away end terrace v good, close to the action. Some good beers too in your clubhouse.

The pitch was ok, considering the weather, we should have won after being two up but a lack of concentration for the 1st and woeful goalkeeping for the 2nd cost us the points. Not much to choose between the sides, which is a credit to Askey considering the relative budgets.

Very disappointing, the fans turn up, but the team didn't. They never do, I can't remember the last time we won with over 1k fans backing us. As soon as I saw Nolan was missing I was worried and rightly so. Mbula was terrorised by Asante, to the extent he was hauled off at half time and replaced at centre back by a midfielder. 2nd half was better, we created plenty and Neal made atleast 3 class saves. We also hit the post twice, so could have perhaps nicked something. In truth though we didn't deserve it. You can't make two big mistakes in the 1st 12 mins like Ng and Mbula did and expect to get back into it.

That used to be us in non league that, the season we finally went back up in 15/16 we took 1000+ six times and didn’t win any of them and that was in a league where we actually used to win most weeks. The worst of the lot was at Halifax who we beat 7-0 at home and then went away with over 1700 of us and went 3-0 down after half an hour.

We weren't terrible yesterday, don't think even HG could argue that Beech hasn't improved us. However we haven't won in the league in like, forever. We desperately need to turn these goalless draws into wins but Bradford are a good side. It's more failing to beat the likes of Morecambe, and Grimsby that concerns me. Especially if we're still gonna get rolled over every now and again like Colchester did.

Our loss is symptomatic of our losing both form and players and we need to correct both in the January window. Must consolidate our mid-table position. Last season we fell to relegation from a similar position and need to stop that happening again.

We always take over a 1000 Macc and never win, not won at Vale for a few years. Got beat at Notts when we took 1500 the other year. Maybe Coventry was the last time in about 2015-16.

The first looked like a nothing midfield tackle, think the restart was a FK to yourselves. Been told it'll be a few months out.
The second one, Harry Smith landed badly, looked like a dislocated ankle and possible leg break. He was down on gas and air before being stretchered straight into an ambulance. Since been told that the X-ray shows no break.
