We've got something special going on at the moment. Kolo is gonna eat these SPFL players for dinner.
Patrick Roberts is full of potential, would love to throw some money at City and keep him, but he's a lot better than the SPFL.
One player to keep an eye out for, for you lot in the Prem, is Tom Rogic. He's the best player on any shed of grass in Scotland at the moment, won't be surprised to see him make it into a side down south. An absolute joy to watch play football, great feet for a big lad.

Have you seen poor Kolo Toure's face in the photograph posted above? It's not worth earning "over 100 grand" a week if it means being that miserable in your surroundings.

The spy idea intrigues me, though. Rather than an international spy is there an opening for a national spy? Perhaps one that operates solely in Scotland? I'd definitely be the best spy in Scotland.

Your average SPL player isn't a world beater, but he'll have spent well over 10,000 hours playing football, be earning a wage more than double the national average and is far closer to Messi than the average punter is to him. Put even a failed 3rd division footballer into an amateur team and he'll run the show (and even amateur players are much better than armchair fans).

Absolutely not, first of all "pathetic" is completely relative, I find it no more pathetic comparing Scotland to England than, say, England to Spain. Scotland has better teams than the Championship so I guess the only comparison we have is to the Premier League, the richest league in the world, from a nation more than ten times our size. Are we as good as them? Of course not, no more than Belize have a better army than the United States.

The fact you take pride in this, and use it as a stick to beat Scottish football, is absolutely hilarious.

As I've discussed on the other thread we can only legitimately compare ourselves to nations with a similar population, Finland, Norway etc. - and it's a comparison we do extremely well in. Indeed, we're doing far better than many far larger European nations. We're doing extremely well, and have been for as long as football has existed. No attempt to shoehorn in a comparison with a neighbour more than ten times our size will change that.

I'm confident I will smash amateur quality talent like Rangers (or St. Mirren if they ever get promoted) repeatedly though, I would barely need to give my squad a pep talk.

Fair point St.Juste - Celtic, and therefore the entirety of Scottish football, have left me red-faced after taking the huge step of nearly losing to the mighty Hapoel Be'er Sheva F.C. over two legs in the Champions League final pre-tournament qualifiers.

I wish that a) I was more lucky with my timing and b) Scottish football wasn't so goshdarn powerful on the European stage.
