I won't even be there any more this season as it looks like LJ is staying. It's because I love the club that I can't bear to watch this useless individual killing it. My SC can stay in the cupboard.
I had a ticket for tomorrow, not going, one for Tuesday, not going etc etc.
I just cannot watch it without getting irate and now Lansdown has told us we're not to criticise.
Bollocks Lansdown, utter bollocks!

Pathetic. Your own club has been through far worse than this, why be such a drama queen about it?

Until you've endured Alan Irvine you can all fuck off.

No drama queen Tom, I walked out of the gate absolutely seething on Wednesday and that's not good. After a bit of thought I felt I need a break so am taking one. No big deal but thanks for the vote of confidence.

It'll be exciting again in the summer if we've sacked Johnson and managed to stay up though.

I know what you're saying I think you lot over did on here and said as much you expected a bit too much without thinking about it.

Not surprising when you're getting a Premier League promise shoved down your throat by the owner/CEO/head coach of your club. With all the money we spent it was looking good as well, we'd be doing well if we had a competent manager with this squad.

Just going to drag up these two posts:

Agree with everything said about Lansdown - it's ridiculous to think that people were calling for the board to be sacked last year, and sometimes you have to be very careful what you wish for.

We're gifted enough to have a Chairman who loves the club and knows the area, and he has a real connection with the fans.

He's made his mistakes, but who hasn't? He's a top bloke, he loves the club and we're incredibly lucky to have him.

Respect to you Mr Lansdown.

Spot on JJH!
The only thing I was concerned about was the transferring of the ground ownership from BCFC to BS but I'm cool with it nowadays.

I'd say we're still lucky to have him, however his judgement on Johnson is off.

What's your point?

We are lucky to have Lansdown, but he's got it all wrong with Johnson. Basically as Hodge said.

Well, I had to start easy first......

Lansdown made a lot of horrendous managerial decisions in the past as well, but he's now appointed a footballing man in Mark Ashton and he seems to have struck gold with Lee Johnson. No idea on Morris, but Lansdown's a very smart businessman, but he's got a lot of things wrong regarding footballing decisions.

Johnson's just signed a new deal until 2020 with us. Great news.

Yes, but Johnson shouldn't go.

I still don't get your point...

NEWS: Fan is pleased when a manager doing well signs new deal.

NEWS: Fan of club who have won 3 games in 5 months wants the manager sacked.

You said he 'struck gold' with Johnson and that he should stay, who's Lansdown to go against the wishes of the supporters.

Said he seems to have, and I also said as good a businessman as he is, he's been shit with the football side and made countless bad decisions since he's been here.

I watched your lot tonight, I didn't see the #glamourfootball, looked better under Rowett to me, and you were winning every other week.

Our most tragic error may have been our inability to establish a rapport and a confidence with the press and television with the communication media. I don't think the press has understood me. L. Johnson

You would have been all over that match thread if we had lost

Half our regular starting XI are out injured and we had played the majority of the second half with 10 men. It was a great overall team performance from us tonight. Defended resolutely and looked threatening going forward. 11 points now separating Birmingham and Bristol City.

Mind the gap.

Would I fuck, there's no chance of you going down, it's not exactly as if we're competing with you. You're lucky you had Gary Rowett who had you on a decent amount of points before he was sacked. You owe it all to him.

I disagree Walkley, hence my decision. I have a son just about to do his exams and other kids of an impressionable age and dad coming home absolutely furious, when he's supposed to be relaxing, is not a good move.
My team, my season ticket, my choice.
I don't really give a shit if people agree or not TBH. I hate going to watch City ATM because I love the club. They're MY club, I know the team are decent but the coach is crap and the owner backs him and is now blaming the fans.
Just my opinion.

I agree with you CU. If you want your kids to do well and be happy -- come down the Mem. You will not only go home a happy man but at least you may see a Bristol team that has pride and is up for the fight.

Problem is with Lansdown he will only want a yes man manager and that will always be City's problem. By the way I've heard Keith Millen is back in the mix -- Says it all.

I had a season ticket for 8 seasons but for the last 3 seasons of those I wasn't enjoying it. Mates and me would joke beforehand that going to the game was the worst part of the day, but in the end it was. It's a lot of money to spend if you're not enjoying it.

I still go to games, but pick and choose them now. I'm up to about 7 for the season so far including Reading away.

Yeah it is a lot of money for the ticket for the standard of football served up.

Can get a holiday or 2 for the price

Remind me who started that match thread 5 minutes after we lost to QPR last week…

You predicted us to finish 17th back in July when we still had Rowett. We twice finished 10th with him, was two points off 10th when he left and we’ll likely finish mid-table again with Zola.

I wouldn't have, incase you haven't realised yet you actually did us a favour last night. Cheers for that.

Not a point against you Ciderup or anything, as you say it's your life and your money, no one else's to say what to do with it; but everytime we lose a few or are struggling near the bottom you always get people coming out saying "Oh I've been going since the 30s and it's never been this bad, I've never felt this out of love with the club bla bla..." and you just think really? Is it really? Hey it's all personal opinion and that but it's not like we're this hugely successful club or anything, you'd think people would be used to by now. Heck, I feel like I'm numbed to it all now and I've been going barely more than a decade. We've dropped down from this level many times before and we will do many times again in the future. That's the lot of the lower league fan. But, hey, every time's the worst ever.

And I get that it's the false hope that kills you and with all the stuff off the pitch with the stadium development there's the feeling that this is where it could all change. But tbh last time we went down we were a lot worse and there was a greater sense of hopelessness back then, for me at least. Let alone for people who were around back in the 80s, if you've stuck around this far and managed to survive to this point as a City fan you'd think this would be kinda standard. And it's hardly inconcievable we could still stay up and push on, we're hardly doomed yet

c.3000 up in Noo-cassel today, we'll almost certainly lose, probably get battered - but that'd be true virtually anytime we play them. We'll all get pissed, have a bit of a sing-song, have a laugh, and do it all again next year, and the year after. That's the fun of it. Who'd be a fucking City fan in the first place otherwise.

Anyway, semi-drunken sermon over, sorry if you got this far. COYR!!
