Did he get a good reception after the game? I didn't hang around long enough to see.
Indeed he did. Once the City players and Cotts had given the SS their usual applause, JET stood on his own clapping the SS and he was given a good ovation. He did the square root of F all once he came on though didn't he?

Fair enough Aaron, it seemed a bit OTT to me and it was nice to see him get a decent ovation from the SS at the end.
The other real positive was Luke Freeman, I thought he was everywhere today and had a very good game. Apologies if that doesn't fit in with everyones opinion but I just say it as I saw it.

Completely agree on Freeman mate. Forgot to mention him in my first post, I've been a big critic of his this season but all credit he was much sharper today. Just a shame he wasn't able to control and smash that ball in the scramble right at the death.

JJH JET got an excellent reception at the end. A chorus of JET will tear you apart went round, although I'm not sure whether he'd have heard it. Despite my affection towards him I was more than happy to boo him during the game though. Although if I had it my way every opposition player would be booed and taunted throughout, the Gate is brilliant when hostile.

Although it was gutting to miss that scramble, I did smile at Flinty kicking the ball with his standing foot before having a huge 'air' shot with his right. That was quite funny.

Aye, he had that one run at Bryan - absolutely terrorising seeing JET run at players and it not being for your club, the ball sticks to his feet like glue.

Freeman played well but still didnt look like scoring or assisting which is why I dont rate him.

Kodjia was our best player.

He got the most assists in the league last season mate

Kodjia looked re-energised, his performance deserved a goal and Green did superbly on two occasions to deny him.

About 5 from open play, which I believe our lack of was a point you made in the opening post.

Nearly forgot to mention - the QPR fans did one of the worst things I've ever witnessed at a football match when they scored today.

Now, I think goal music is truly terrible, like despise it so much to the point that if City implemented it I'd consider not going, just for background. When QPR scored today, they repetitively sung that shit goal music that they play at Loftus Road when they occasionally score, and then were unheard again for the rest of the game.

Genuinely disgusting, you Rangers fans should be ashamed.

Sorry to put a negative slant on things but we rarely play well and when we do, we really need to be making sure we pick up 3 points. Hopefully we can play the same against Charlton.

I couldn't even hear them when they scored! I could see them but heard nothing. Decent numbers but their support was what I don't want us to become. Awful, absolutely awful!

Shows how good an effort it was from the Atyeo lot when they were that side earlier in the season. Haven't heard anything from any away fans since the switch, any noise just escapes out that gurt big hole

Why not do it? We scored, we celebrate by singing the song that we have had for years. You might think its tinpot when the music actually goes, but surely actually signing it with no music is less tinpot? Either way, I disagree about your disgusting comment.

Our away support has been pretty dire, but then us away from home for the past 4 years or so has been dire. About 5 wins in that time - though that second comment made me feel a bit better. Was our support much different to previous years of going to your place? Our support hasnt changed much in my opinion.

No Austin, but thats not that surprising. He just came through his first 90 minutes in ages so 2 games in a week might be too much for him. Reading other reports, we seemed to have been outplayed - much what you guys have already said. First away game under JFH so bound to be a little bit of learning his methods. Decent point, against a team who will always raise their game - at home, against a recently relegated side. Sounds like you were more up for it than us, which is disappointing. Positive is under Ramsay, we would have lost this game.

I don't like goal music, but as far as it goes, QPR do it the best.

We tried goal music a few years ago IIRC. Chelsea dagger I think. While it got people going a bit there were alot of people that wanted it stopped. I didn't mind it to be fair.
On the Austin thing, quite a few of our fans around me in the South stand assumed his absence meant he was leaving in January. I wasn't aware that he had just returned from injury but saw that he scored on Tuesday. It would be quite refreshing to see him stay at the R's TBH.

A good performance and things to be positive about. Unfortunately playing well doesn't get you three points and that's what we are struggling to pick up. We are playing well at times and not winning. And it's worrying. Add that to getting thumped when we play poor it's not looking too clever.

Thought the majority played well, Freeman, Kodjia ( still needs a decent partner) Smith and Baker the stand outs. Need to beat Charlton Saturday.

I will take that.

He had a tight hamstring, so we are told. I do not think he will be leaving, as we have changed manager to go for play offs so it would be suicide to let him leave now. He has been in and out the team with niggling injuries and this was another one, so I think we just thought we would rest him for the Xmas period.

On a side note, Bristol City made a new fan. Taken from a QPR forum:

A quick story to share from yesterday
For various reasons I got totally lost on the way to the station and, feeling increasingly wrong and virtually nobody about as the rain poured down, I asked a guy for directions. Turned out he was American, had been at the game and was lost as well . Whilst on a walk which resembled the Bristol marathon, it transpired that he was on a holiday attending as many football games as he could (he even used the correct term). For some reason best known only to him he had chosen our game and expected to pay on the door. Finding it was sold out, He tried, in an understandably naive way to negotiate the purchase of a "returned'" ticket nearer to kick off time, the box office staff were somewhat confused. However, when he told them he was on a football holiday from America, and he was fulfilling something of a dream, not only did they find him a good seat, they refused any money for it. City gained a new fan( I did point out that QPR were clearly a better choice) , but his already positive view of us Brits was confirmed. Well done City! It topped off a really enjoyable day for me. And yes, I did catch a train eventually.

Great to hear! However, he will get tired of the Wurzels and Cider soon enough...

He went to the Swansea game yesterday as well. Fair play to him, must be costing a lot.

Nice to read that and well done to the club. Thanks Matt.
