Can someone advise me of the best bus to get from Temple Meads to the ground please? This is going to take 2 hours and 45mins on the train due to the bank holiday works.........I am getting in at midday.

Also Jay Simpson is out injured and we cannot keep a clean sheet for shit.

Get on a 76 for cribs causeway from just outside the station. Drops you on Gloucester Road about a 2 minute walk from the ground or just get off a couple of stops earlier if you fancy a pint or something to eat. Loads of places .
It's great news for us that Simpson is out ( too good for this league) and I fancy a gas win especially with some regulars returning after Boxing Day. I'll go for a entertaining 3-2 Gas victory. UTG

No direct bus to the ground from temple meads, the 75,76,78 from Redcliffe hill a 5 minute walk or the centre 10 minute walk. If you're not sure of the area, about a tenner in a cab.

Not very optimistic about this after our last 2 performances, especially if we're still missing Lines and Sinclair.

With Nichols loan spell ended and Puddy injured we're also left with Mildenhall in goal and I have to be honest, I think he's a bit of a liability these days. Certainly doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence.

We might have won 3-0 at Dagenham but as Clarke said himself, we didn't play well and yesterday at Wimbledon we failed to create a chance worth mentioning despite playing against 10 men for 87 minutes.

Orient are unbeaten in their last 7 league games. They've drawn 5 of those but will be boosted by an impressive win against Portsmouth on Boxing Day.

We'll probably have decent crowd in for this one and we rarely play our best on those occasions.

Rovers 1-2 Orient

Looking forward to this one, my first game since Wembley as I'm back for the holidays!

Hopefully the team will be fired right up after Saturdays poor performance, plus the fact that Orient denied us from going undefeated by 1 calendar year.

We weren't great at Wimbledon, not by any stretch of the imagination, but it was always going to be difficult on a sticky pitch against a side who had every man behind the ball after the red card. We were incisive enough on the day and on the odd occasion we did break through, we lacked composure in the penalty area.

I'm not too concerned by it though. A point away from home is never a disaster and we now have a good chance to get another win in front of what will hopefully be a big crowd at The Mem. Our central midfield looks weak without Sinclair so I'd love it if he was fit enough to feature, but I don't think he will be.

I think Gaffney will be back in for Harrison and potentially Montano in for Gosling.

That was one of the best games I've attended this season. Brilliant atmosphere and a cracking performance from rovers especially young Gaffney "the ginger messi" :cool1: scored 2 superb goals and should have a hatrick tbh. Sinclair was everywhere on his return and Taylor was a pest when he came on. I took daughter number 1 today and I think that's the first time she's enjoyed herself for the whole game

Great performance from the boys today.

Always difficult to play 2 matches in 3 days which forced DC to rotate the squad a bit. Six changes to the team that played Wimbledon! Dropping Taylor to the bench was a surprise but Easter worked hard and his fresher legs probably helped keep the Orient defence under pressure.

Nice to see Sinclair back even if he was high on pain killers. Not sure what's going on with Lines, we don't seem to be getting any news on his injury situation?

Anyway, thought it was a pretty good match that we deserved to win on the day. We certainly had the better chances.

Orient keeper did well to tip over a stinging shot from Easter early on and Bodin might have done better when the ball broke to him on the edge of the box a few minutes later. Great goal from Gaffney to put us in front and Lockyer should have made it 2 but headed over from 6 yards out when it looked easier to score. It looked like being 1-0 at half time until a sliced clearance by Brown was played back into the box for Simpson to stab home from close range.

Felt we deserved a lead at the break so that was a bit of a sucker punch right on the whistle.

Thankfully a superb finish from Gaffney put us back in front soon after the break and he should have probably wrapped up the points and bagged himself a hatrick when he went clean through on goal but saw he shot saved by the keepers legs.

Orient had a spell of pressure towards the end but we defended well and Mildenhall wasn't forced into any real saves.

I find it extremely difficult to believe we won't be bringing Gaffney back to the Abbey with Williamson going back to Gillingham.

There must be something behind the Gaffney loan deal. I wouldn't imagine us being used by a club like Cambridge to get players fit for them. There were rumours a deal has already been agreed. Maybe we will give you a fee otherwise you will only lose him on a freebie in the summer...

Derry said at the start of the loan that he hoped Gaffney went to score 4 or 5 goals in his loan so he can see a fit Gaffney in January so unlikely a deal has already been done.

He was loaned out because he wasn't match fit, we were languishing near the bottom and not bothered about the playoffs at that point so the fact he went to Rovers who were in the top 10 was irrelevant for a month. Derry has spoken positively of him since he left and his replacement is going back to his parent club, I just can't imagine him not returning, we have nothing to gain selling him unless it's really silly money.

It was a close fought game which Rovers deserved the win I thought, edged a gritty first half and defended well in the 2nd.

First goal may have had a hint of handball, but defending was poor as usual, second goal was a superb finish but Conner Essam again misjudged the flight of the ball. The loss of Mvoto before half time was a big blow,.

We'd actually started the second half quite strongly as well.

Sadly if Simpson or McAnuff can't find any space or chances we're rather limited up front since the loss of Cox.

Both teams got leggy at the end and we had a lot of the ball but couldn't find a way past a well Marshalled defence.

Clarke said: "Rory is enjoying his football with us and it's a no-brainer that we want to hang onto him. Talks have begun and we will have to see what happens.

"He showed great composure for his first goal today and the second was worthy of winning any game.

Someone on our forum seems to think it's done too, that would be extremely disappointing and not very logical for us. We'll see, hopefully his goals today force Derry to pull the plug on it!

I can't believe you let Rory go, was he a different player for you or something? The guy is immense! Holds the ball up as good as anyone we have had since Rickie Lambert. Very quick and strong, and knows where the back of the net is!!!

It could be pretty simple after all - we need to balance the books, most likely after Richard Money brought in a couple of shite players on very decent wages, ie more than we can really afford to pay them, after he threw a tantrum in the summer.

How do you know we're over budget?

Hendon is on the Gaffney bandwagon, our defence "made him look like Lionel Messi" apparently.
Bit disingenuous there from Hendon. The lad would have made a defence comprising of de boer, Costacurta, Baresi and Maldini look like pub league hackers today:bg1:

HAHAHAHAHA.

Bristol Rover's first goal.

HAHAHAHAHA.

And some people genuinely want Essam in the side ahead of Baudry...

We've been giving away soft, shit goals all season, mind. Genuinely terrible at the back and heading for about 18th once we sell Simpson and/or McAnuff.

The worst thing is that, despite being utterly fucking awful, we would probably still be in the top three if Cox wasn't injured. What a dire league this is.

That dire of a league you're not even in the top 7. Give the league some respect there's plenty of teams better then Orient this season despite your massive wages

I'm aware that there are plenty of teams better than Orient this season. Doesn't mean that they're not shit as well. Believe me, the difference in the quality of football between Leagues One and Two is absolutely astounding.
