Man City U21’s for us tonight and we’ve chopped and changed as much as we can, arguably more than we can really because in our starting eleven we have one defender (who we should probably be resting anyway), five midfielders and four strikers.

Thrashing Citeh's kids 5-0 with one defender is hilarious.

We're giving YouTube sensation Mark Howard a rare run out in goal in the second half. Just made a great save.

Watched the our game at Wycombe. Too be honest it looked as though both teams were going through the motions. One of those that needed a dodgy tackle to start a proper game.

Of our fringe players, Sonny Fish, and Khaleel looked out of their depth. Roles looks like a conference playmaker as usual.

John-Jules got onto the pitch. You can see his quality. Can he get fit is the issue.

Tarimu needs lessons on how to take throw ins (both teams had problems with that; four foul throws in the game).

Our emergency loan keeper looks like a keeper. Really good penalty save and some clean catches.

Didn't watch it as I was playing crap football rather than watching it last night.

But I understand that neither of our teams is capable of taking a throw-in correctly, which is not great?

We’re now through after beating a much changed MK Dons 3-1 with goals from Agyei, Perkins and Kelman.

Perkins has now scored 3 games in a row FFS, despite still being largely ineffective!

Can’t wait to be drawn away to Exeter or Cheltenham next round!

Good side out, though Man City look dreadful. Presume they have the dregs as.anyone decent will be with the u21s or u20s.
Yeah, not a bad side considering 8 changes we made from the weekend game. Squad depth we're better this season but not necessarily been able to use it fully because of new injuries or players come back from long term ones they picked up last season. Even with Darikwa (32) in the side, I think it was an average age of 21.

A couple of theirs last night were playing against Sporting and Brighton apparently (can't vouch for that, haven't checked) and most a part of their PL2 title wins. I didn't watch it but it does seem as though they were poor, or perhaps more accurately they were so intent on playing out from the back that we constantly pinned them in.

Of all the Prem U21 sides who entered, only Aston Villa are now left from what I can see.

Yay, Birmingham again! Wait 30 years to play them, then you get three times in two months!

To be fair they've done some nice localish ties in the Southern section

Charlton away, keeping the trend of all our cup away games this season being fairly local.

Swindon H.

I think that’s possibly the second best draw we could have got - there’s no rivalry there but it’s not that far away and we haven’t played them for aaaaaaaages*, as they’ve been consistently worse than us for quite some time.

But far rather them than some other random L1 side.

EDIT * :ffs: of course, the minute I posted that, I checked, when was the last time we played them? Erm, this pre-season apparently. But we haven’t played them in a *real* game since 2018. So yeah.

Morecambe away - we might as well continue our stupidly long distance away games for an additional one.

In terms of the draw itself, it was either away at Morecambe, Wrexham, Stockport or Bolton so in that respect it's not a bad one.

Shame it's at home but probably as good a draw as we can realistically get in this competition for me personally.

Birmingham have requested 1500 tickets for our game. They will definitely outnumber us, especially at £15. Yes we've turned into Rovers.
Good job it's on Sky.

If you could start playing like us too that would be grand

We’ve moved ticket holders for a stand tomorrow bight due to “unforeseen circumstances” which I can only assume is lack of ticket sales

We had some stadium damage over the weekend. The 1 of the big fuck off trees behind the goal has fallen onto the stand, and the Mold Road stand has took a battering, where some parts of the roof is being torn off. Wonder if our game with Crewe would go ahead tomorrow? The stand behind the goal is closed anyway..

As such, the club have said:

Work has been ongoing to clear up after Storm Darragh and we can confirm there is no risk to tomorrow's match at home to Crewe Alex.

If there was, there'd be a party. Should never have been built and the owners who built them have practically robbed them.
Would have been a good excuse for some "serious" damage to have been caused during the weather :)

We are probably going for the record of “how many stands can we shut for this game “
I reckon 3.
I’d shut all 4 and put the fans in the dugout.

Away at Morecambe tonight.

As with other games, we'll change as much as we can.

Presumably for points though? A couple hundred empty spaces for the league game, will be more for this.

Thanks for the dosh.
