Presumably for points though? A couple hundred empty spaces for the league game, will be more for this.

Thanks for the dosh.
All getting their points up for Wrexham away.

Happy to help where we can.

Its for away membership ranks yes, some people buy tickets with no intention of going, club has cracked down on this by holding a number of tickets back
that need collecting from the away ground, this stops reselling and keeping the game on your record to build up your ranking

Its an imperfect system, but people on lower ranks have a tough time getting higher on the ladder with the higher ranks buying tickets, selling them on and keeping their away numbers up.

Expecting both ourselves and Charlton to make changes, We had players play all 3 of our games last week including one extra time and Wellens has said these players will be protected, so 5/6 changes will happen. The goalkeeping position will be the most interesting one though as Josh Keeley has been doing well.

Both us and Charlton don't really score many so a tight draw and pens or one goal either way.

We are probably going for the record of “how many stands can we shut for this game “
I reckon 3.
I’d shut all 4 and put the fans in the dugout.
We've also shut everything but the Main Stand (and usual away section), looking at tickets available however it's going to be a good 90% full...

Don't deserve to be level, fluke goal from a corner after being dominated. I expect Brum to bring on their big guns from the bench and will.probably end 3-1 to them. 1987 there including only 683 from Birmingham, so a lot of people spent money on tickets and didn't go. Wise decision.

Ah well, we stuck out the reserves/kids and were apparently dreadful, failing to beat the 10 men of mighty Swindon. Meh.

We won 1-0 at Morecambe. Made a load of changes, found a way to win. Great to see both Tyler Walker and Tom Bayliss back playing after time out.

496 there with 68 from Lincoln. Wonder if that's the lowest crowd of the round.

Almost got to penalties but you decided to get a couple .

Tough for Reading .

1 up with 9 men at Walsall till the 97th minute then lose on penalties!

Slightly less bad than normal. Made the mighty Blues resort to timewasting at the end, though in reality they could finish and we couldn't. Glad we are out.

Terrible lacklustre game. Grabbed the only goal so we go through, but not a game that will linger long in the memory.

Greatly entertaining first half against Bratfud, followed by an utterly insipid second half. That's one less Wembley trip this season I suppose.

Is this the thread for the competition we played in tonight or was it something else?

Deserved win over Charlton, we had most of the chances, but Charlton despite not being that good still forced a few chances of their own which could've swung the game.

We've got a nice bit of momentum at the minute, next round 14th Jan.

Only 1336 at the Valley - With around 300/400 from ourselves I think. Reminded me of the covid season being there with no fans.

Correct, cheaper tix bought by people to maintain away status.

As for the game, watched on Blues TV seemed a bit pre season friendly ish, lots of changes both sides. Really pleased Lee Buchanan is back, the timing could not be better as from what we are hearing Alex Cochrane could be out of action for a month or so.

Lionel Keshi with another fantastic goal, assisted by Yokoyama.

Brizzle Rovers at home in the league next up.

If you could finish or had slightly better decision making in front of goal, it could have been 4 or 5.

Dreadful again from us. Our game plan seems to be ride our luck defensively and hope to nick a goal which tbf could have paid off if we held on slightly longer and took it to pens. We are so poor atm

Are you a Jones in or out? He's not getting any results thats worthy of a mention. And sounds like your football is dire too.

lauding him at the beginning of the season, he is as clueless as Evatt
Parkinson and Clough are not far behind.
All had a decent season in about 2020

Parkinson is getting results, so can't complain too much really. 2 promotions in 3 years, and going for another one is some feat. Evatt is a donkey though that should have gone in the summer after bottling the PO. Clough having a hard time at the moment but is clearly a well respected manager at this level. Didn't he manage Burton in a division above, too?

Parkinson as a man is top notch.....Great fella.....As a manager his football is turgid. Evatt tactically he got found out and he cannot or will not change that style.
Clough lacks any ambition hence why he manages every club within a hour of his home. Got a steady job at Mansfield so the hunger has gone.

Clough hunger is gone hahaha, the passion he’s shown here the past year is the most I’ve ever witnessed from a manager at Field Mill.

Probably will be his last job, he’s never been without a job in football more than a few months since he debuted professionally 40 years ago, bit ridiculous really.

If Wrexham get promoted they will obvs bring in better players and that will therefore allow Parky to amend his style as he will be working with better quality, one would think

That doesn’t make sense, Wrexham have the financial ability to do that under his entire tenure, it’s just not his style.

I agree. Although we have a really good squad for league one, we all saw last season in the cup against a poor Championship Blackburn side we got torn to shreds. We have got 2 quality championship worthy players at the moment. We'd need a new squad again.

Parkinson's just managed back to back promotions and there's a possibility we might go back to back to back.

Agreed though, he's clueless. Get him gone.
He bought the national league with league one players........Likewise he got promoted with a top end budget.
Not a chance in hell will you go up this season unless you buy another 3/4 high end league1/ Championship players come January
You are currently batting above your weight, with not a deep squad

444 Huddersfield at Bolton . Don’t like losing any games and congratulations to Bolton but secretly pretty happy to be knocked out. I go everywhere in the league but just couldn’t raise the energy to go last night , watched it on tv and Bolton deserved their place in next round.
