Lovely stuff from us there to avoid what would have become a big distraction. Followed the instructions to the letter.

Textbook pen giveaway from Okonkwo and then barmy defending to gift another one.

From being comfortable at two nil to completely go to pieces after some baffling substitutions by Parkinson.

Mickey Mouse cup etc

Parky's thrown that. Couldn't be arsed with the energy sap that is a Wembley trip. Probably would have lost to Birmingham too. Peterborough definitley will.

I am not buying Parkinson did anything but go for the win......2-0 up without getting into the game
It was a typical performance.
Wrexham put a decent team out as did posh......Heavy legs, games now catching them up.
Early kick-off again Saturday

Only two outfield players played for them tonight that started at Mansfield at the weekend.

I think your game with them on Saturday will be interesting though. But I don't think tonight will have a say on it.

Wembleys always nice the first time. Been there done it. Just glad I don't have to pay a few hundred quid to watch Brum batter us. Another below standard home performance

Didn't even have either of our first choice strikers on the bench.

Goals we conceded both comical too, and he sent 2 players completely devoid of confidence up to take penalties in the shootout. Absolute masterclass.

Wrexham fans singing 'Que sera sera' right before both Peterborough goals is priceless.

And it's funny to see their sad fans on here act like they're glad to have lost when really they're absolutely gutted because they didn't get their dream 'Hollywood final'.

You're on the wrong board. Should practice posting on the Non-League board ready for next season.

Enjoy the FA Trophy.

In fairness even on their own forum (where there’s little reason to be anything other than honest), most seem highly unarsed about losing.

Yes Parkinson rested a lot of first team players for the Mansfield team so he could put a strong team out for this tonight
In all honesty who did they have missing...Think those that missed out had knocks not sure about Smith

Longman, Smith, Rathbone, McClean, Revan, Rodriguez if you want to put him in as well. EOC should be in the middle of the defence instead of Scarr. A whole host of players there who would play on Saturday.

I don't think any of us are sad. Wembley is shit, London is too expensive anyway and i'd much rather go to Wigan on the Saturday, instead of watching us get bummed to Birmingham.

He picked a similar sort of team that he's done throughout this competition. He used it to get squad players some game time. There was one game early on where there was about 4 players starting out of their normal position just because he wanted to get them minutes on the pitch.

Not sure if your grasping at straws a bit.

We definitely didn't rest players at Mansfield for this, we made a couple of changes there as a few players performances had dropped a bit (Brunt and Barney), plus McClean had a hip problem.

I'd imagine our XI on Saturday, would only include three from last night (Okonkwo, Dobson and Max). Plus Rathbone who came off the bench.

Lets not paper over last nights team as it is in the open for anyone to study it
All are saying it was Wrexhams Fringe, reserves etc.....The team that played last night is......Okonkwo 23 starts ,Barnett 31 starts, Cleworth 32 starts, Scarr 15 starts, Brunt 17 starts, Mendy 5 starts, Dobson 30 starts, Evans 5 starts, Ashfield 3 starts, MarriotT 11 starts and Faal 7 starts...... Added to that 4 first team starters coming on from the bench.......Not one as stated above
Anyone else not involved would be injured or carrying knocks
It was about as strong as Parkinson could field
Cannon, Mclean both injured and Smith must have had a knock or rested as he played in the previous round against us............Who else was left out?????????/

It wasn't their kids but it wasn't their strongest team at all. I'm a football encyclopedia and I've never even heard of Harry Ashfield.

They'd have thought the team was strong enough to beat Peterborough and it very nearly was to be honest. Shows how strong their squad is.

I just like a balanced view, most teams are starting to rest/manage players now....Not buying into teams/fans saying it is a weakened team
It is what it is, they all are members of the first team squad.
We have not started our best 11 once this season, minimum 4 missing since August as have other teams.. The Orients of this world and it will affect them....Us, you and the Birminghams of the league cannot come on here and say we are playing a weakened team unless 7/8 youth players start
