I just find it hard to believe anyone who describes Carling as decent, let alone superb!

Seen as it's by far the best selling lager in england I'd say there's plenty that do like it so I'd say your the one in a minority

It's not that cheap really is it. Carlsberg is always a lot lot cheaper. Carling is £3.30 min in sheff centre apart from your spoons pubs. It's between £2.85 and £3.20 in my locals. Carlsberg is 1.99 in 2 of the pubs

Joint the Carling debate late I generally opt for Carling if I'm in an unfamiliar pub as I know there'll have been plenty of pints of it poured reducing the chance of getting a dodgy one. Given the choice I prefer Coors Light or Peroni.
