Err yes it is too early. Surely it will be Chelsea, we`ve avoided each other since 1929, I have seen us play every other league team, it would be nice to complete the set.
Chelsea would be ace, but you just know it will be Middlesbrough or Ipswich!

Congratulations Vale, not an easy place to go by any means as Mansfield seem strong this season. Who knows, you may even get another step further if the draw is kind to you.

We played well. Trevitt’s two goals were top drawer, but ultimately Boro’s quality was too much for us. They were very dangerous and score a couple of crackers.

Mitchell going off on crutches is a huge blow but we can be proud of our performance.

Enjoy the quarters! Our QF away at Man U last year was one of my favourite footballing days in the past 15 odd years despite losing 3-0!

Depends on the draw I guess, we had Man City in the FA Cup R3 just before covid hit and that was a great memory with 8000 of us there, especially when Tom Pope equalised. Those little moments we suffer the hard times for I guess when your not a pot hunter.

Congrats Vale, cracking effort. I know financially an away game would be better but I hope you get a home tie as there’s nothing like a top Prem side at home.

Would be a change as all the big prem sides we’ve played we’ve been away since 1999 against Liverpool. In fact the only Prem side I recall at Vale Park since was Brentford a couple of seasons back.

Port Vale are winning the entire thing anyway now.

It seems among the big premier league teams remaining we are the popular choice to get in the next round. Would like to think it’s because the allure of a Tuesday night in S-O-T rather than because we are now the lowest ranked team remaining of course. Doesn’t look like a trip to Old Trafford or the Emirates is on the cards now though as things stand. Us and Boro will be probably be the only EFL teams remaining so know whats going to happen.

Good results to increase our chance of a plumb tie, delighted Ipswich are gone as that’s the worst tie we could of got!

5 great draws, 1 bang average/disappointing (Fulham) 1 terrible one (Middlesbrough) surely we’re due a good one here!

After giving Crosby pelters after Saturday, I have to say we were terrific last night. Probably the best we have played all season against a team who would currently Probably hold their own in league one. We looked way above their level and that's the first time that it's really dawned on me how much better our team is now from league 2. Arblaster and Devine showed last night why they are very much part of the England set up. They looked miles above the opposition.

The thing is, we are capable of looking like a really good team, as witnessed by numerous opposition this season. God knows what has happened in the past 6 weeks but hopefully this acts as a catalyst.

Compared to recent weeks last night we actually passed it and moved the ball much quicker which made a huge difference. Recently we’ve been so slow and passing around the back and for example Saturday Cheltenham just sat off us and we had no clue. Got a feeling our best performances are going to come on the road this season as we get more space to pass and play in that when teams are more cautious at Vale Park.

A bit annoying they’re delaying the draw until 22:45. Was originally advertised for 22:15 and it’s not as though the Man Utd game went down to pens or anything.

Think Chelsea at Stamford Bridge would be my first choice if could pick one now.

11pm and still not done !

Obviously had Man U and Arsenal in the hat.

If you get Liverpool or West Ham will be a Wednesday game .

I actually don't think thats a terrible draw for Vale - At home against a non prem side who will make changes.

Get a sell out crowd, play your best team, fight out a win in whatever manner - more money and semi finals on a very good night if it all falls into place.

I think it’s a terrible draw considering who’s left in the cup personally, if we went through and got that I would be devastated.

Only positive is at home.

Not a chance we sell out for that… with all due respect to them it’s not enticing at all. Lucky if there’s 6-7000 there and probably won’t even open parts of the ground.

It’s winnable but more likely than not we go out with zero money made and no big tie.

It’s not exactly one to get the pulse racing at least compared to what we could have had but I guess we just have to embrace it for what it is. There’s a few players from the past who represented both clubs very well so hopefully can get them all together for this or something like that.

Can’t imagine Sutton fans were jumping for joy when they got us in a previous round so it’s swings and roundabouts. Just checked the Championship table as actually didn’t know how they were getting on and appears they are right alongside the shit so we are definitely the underdogs but not exactly prohibitive either.

Our home form is dire so not sure that’s saving us anything! At least we won’t have the usual ticket farce when we have a big away day!

They had won 6 in a row before losing at the weekend .

Sure you have a chance .

Boro will snap up all the tickets then. I suspect you will sell out

Will they? We haven’t played them for donkeys years but 3000 tickets on a Tuesday before Xmas and 200 plus miles each way? They never strike me a massive club that travel in huge numbers? Hope they do, we’ve got to decide what to do as the main stand (Paddock) is restricted after the roof on the loos fell in! So do we bother to sort it now or keep to the plan to build new ones after Christmas.

Boro travel really well, I imagine they will sell out easily.

Yeah all the North East clubs travel in really good numbers, always have done. Even if they don't sell all 3300 it won't be far off I'd imagine.

Been a long time since we last played them, Merson and Gazza were in their team back then.

Sold out their allocation of 1300 in a few hours. On the day only 1000 turned up, I think this was due to many snapping up tickets for loyalty points.
I'm sure they could double that for a trip half the distance and a quarter final.
