There are some right knobs on their forum. Any sympathy I had for Blackpool with their fight against the Oystons is quickly disappearing.

So Hartlepool are signing more dross then? Oh no we're shitting our pants!
Had the game been played on Monday , without a doubt you would have won easily .....when it is played we will have 4 or 5 different players ....not perhaps better . .so the delay gives us a better chance of at least keeping the score down

Sorry, I didn't know it was that bad.

I sort of hoped you would of been a more competitive team this season after doing well to stay up last season and having a decent little start to this season. What's the problem? Is it the manager?

Just had a look on the Blackpool fans forum, they have resorted to calling us Carlisle fans "Hypocritical bastards" and we need to "Get our priorities straight" for wanting to watch our club play, as it's only "An FA Cup match". That was from a forum admin, they also say that the existence of their club is more important than our game, yes as if screwing our fans over is really going to sort their own problems out, if anything it will make things even worse for them like a massive points reduction and they'll become the most hated fans in the country.

We all hoped that ...Ronnie left last season's midfield alone , with predictable results ...I firmly believe he's improved the defence and attack , however the midfield offers neither protection for the backs or support to the forwards ....We literally need a new one ....4 players , and it will make a difference .....as a club we simply have to stop giving everyone else a 23 games start

I'm preparing to go on there myself to add my voice to that of Davie, but haven't received my confirmation email yet.

What I plan to say is what I think I've already said on here, but I don't see why the Blackpool fans want us to boycott this match so much. Karl Oyston won't receive a penny from this match, he'll most likely get his expenses for putting the game on repaid but that's all no profit, any Carlisle fans who sympathise with their plight would probably agree not to buy anything inside the stadium... although if they continue their campaign of hate against us, I might buy something in the club shop just to spite them (I won't be saying that last bit on BHS of course). In fact their behaviour is actually making me wonder if I've been taking the wrong side in this dispute, if they're so vicious against us then should I believe what they say about Karl Oyston? Is he maybe just an honest guy trying to run a football club the proper way, he can't help that his father is on the register and how he's being slurred and slandered by a group of knuckle-draggers who just couldn't handle the fact that they aren't big enough to become an established Premier League team. Not saying I believe that version of events... yet... but I'm certainly veering towards it as this lot who are leading the boycott don't seem like very nice people on the whole.

Oyston is unlikely to even be at the match, and certainly isn't likely to look and see what the official attendance is so he's unlikely to notice if Carlisle and Yeovil fans do boycott. Why are we being expected to abandon our clubs in their time of greatest need with both clubs seasons hanging in the balance and desperately in need of the support of their fans. Do Blackpool fans seriously think we'd make an insignificant gesture towards their cause ahead of supporting our own clubs at this critical time?

If (and as I expect) Carlisle and Yeovil fans don't pay a blind bit of notice to the demands and threats from the Blackpool lot and the attendance is still lower than Blackpool's usual home-gate then their fans are going to look like a right set of mugs.

That's a really good point ShoddyCollins, well said.

For these idiots to want to take a so called opportunity of a devastating natural disaster for their own deluded hopes at the expense of two neutral clubs is completely disgraceful!

See a post on facebook saying the redevelopment is starting today, the photos i'll put up later as cannot get facebook at work.

looking like the whole of the under-part of the main stands has had to been removed and stripped down, but they still think it'll be ready for the York game on 23rd.

was talk pitch would need re-laid, but I seen youth players training on it as coaches set of Saturday.

hope its ready for York game because it seems the right team to play with both cities badly hit in the last month, although I shall copywrite it being called 'the Venice Derby'

And as I type that I read on our website pitch is now being replaced and relaid, began today I think.

Overall costs must be staggering, just the pitch is costing 150,000 plus

All the Warwick Road End will need is a quick hosing down and a new coffee machine.

Hopefully our game will go ahead at Brunton Park, I enjoyed my trip over there last year. It helped that we won 3-0, like. Can't see a repeat of that result unless half the Carlisle team fancy going on the piss again.

If the pitch does set in time then the practical aspects of running the York game should be ok mostly because Brunton Park is huge compared tot he crowds we get, we have an 18,000 ground with 6,000 crowds so even if some areas need kept clear we should fit everyone in (you lot may end up in waterworks as I guess big problem right now is east stand)

of course safety cert could be the big stumbling block as we currently won't have the facilities to pass it, but you can get temp changing rooms, ticket offices, food cabins.

I think the problems is going to be moreso the finer details......where people can park, how do they get tickets, toilet facilities, crowd safety, congestion on Warwick Road which at present is still filled with 100's of skips and house debris . floodlights

Strange timing given that a lot of our fans will have already bought their tickets and there's no refunds for those who have bought at full price, seems like it will benefit you more than us as it may attract some floating fans in?

We already have a 3 match for £33 promotion going on (which I took advantage of) so while it may attract some floating fans for a one-off match, it won't benefit our more regular fans. I take the point about your fans though, although there was no need for you to buy your tickets so far in advance!

Just seen our Snapchats of the new turf being laid down, looks very nice so far. Hopefully we'll be back to having one of the best pitches in the league so we can scrap the hoofball tactics of late - you would hope this is the case when you're paying £150,000+ for it to be done...

I agree, two thirds of fans are members. Add those using the 3 for £33 and there can't be many left. Those who will benefit will be Carlisle fans who havent bought and non-barnet fans who decide to go because it's cheap. I suspect the extra attracted will come close to covering the cost of the offer, although it would be a good gesture for the club to offer to refund away support who have already paid.

The club have just posted saying that Eddie Stobart lent us 22 (!!) trucks for free to transfer turf from Scunthorpe to Brunton Park. Pitch is looking good already, should be fine for the York game by the looks of things.

Some guy from Surrey as far as I can tell. Those floods must've been awful for him. Sorry if I struggle to feel sympathy for someone living in the London commuter belt

I'm glad the guy coming from Carlisle got a refund.
There seems to be a misconception that Barnet v Carlisle will become the hottest ticket in town and hundreds of extra people will turn up. I'd be amazed if the extra covered the cost of the offer.

Our fans raised £444.19 at the game on Saturday for the flood appeal. Not as much as I had hoped for but hopefully it will do some good.

That is very much fair play after a lot of crap giving to your club over years by our fans, shows things can always go above little digs and rivalries.
