Looks like the Syrian Fat Controller.

All is now pointing to the Edinburgh Woolen Mill group taking a controlling stake from next season. I personally think Jenkins will stay on as the face of the club and will waiver his current personal debt as a sign of goodwill. I feel kind of sorry for him - he's dedicated years of his life to the club and dipped into his own pockets on the regular - but he's never overseen any sort of significant success.

This. He's the only one of the current lot that don't deserve the stick he gets. He's done a shit job overall but his intentions have always been right and he's backed us financially. Similar to John Courtenay in a way that he put the money in but his time in charge was a fucking disaster on the pitch.

A couple of weeks ago the ridiculous confidentiality agreement that the board for some reason adhered to for over a year after the whole thing fell through despite it being common knowledge came to an end and the club confirmed that Kirdi was the proposed investor.

Kirdi has now had his own say on the whole affair and while we're still probably better off without him, he attempts to dispel the ideas that he was the one stringing us along and claims our board strung him along.

The club have denied most of Kirdi's claims.

yeah exactly, the timing always seemed a little convenient for them, just as the lapping takeover looked inevitable. The revelation that Kirdi wasn't even in the picture at that point needs answered by them, but obviously they won't because there are no answers.

They probably thought they could get more money for themselves from a richer investor somewhere down the line if they rejected Lappings offer.

So we are back to square one now. Fred Story even generously cancelled his debt from the club that was owed to him in the hope of the club being taken over by someone trustworthy like Lapping, but no our owners they just piss all over that.
