Carlisle falling for the same free kick routine Exeter did is the thing that should be causing shame really isn't it. It's not like it's hard to see these things these days, the goal is up on our twitter page and...apparently no-one from Carlisle United watched it? And noted it?

TBF, I think it's a tad unfair to say Keith Curle and his coaches didn't watch/were unaware of that free kick routine. This isn't even that rare across all football leagues anywhere in the world, and IMO it only happens because the side that's doing the defending do not expect a repeat but a different free kick routine altogether.

I see this all as mind games, and while it does look negligent on Curle's part, this scenario is not as easy avoidable as some people think.

Carlisle were aware of it, Curle confirmed as much post-match, they just allowed it to happen again. That's worse imo.

I think a lot of referees are absolute dickheads, but none of them deserve to be subjected to such sexual abuse.

Relatively speaking, the Carlisle posters on here are quite rational when compared to some on the CUFC forum. Numpties e-mailing the EFL and referees association!
They really do need to get grip. It was a football match, nobody died. A dodgy referee, some gamesmanship (every team in the world does it) and not getting a penalty when your own player handles the ball. If that is all that's wrong with your life and your world then you are a very lucky individual.
By all means have a winge and vent about it, get over it and move on!
