Really hope not, he's going to be a cracking player given the chance and not an average overated numpty like Wilshere.
It's confirmed that he tore his ACL. It's just an awful injury and hopefully he'll make a good recovery.

Ach thats horrible news, he and his brother have had no luck at all with long term injuries. Just when he was beginning to establish himself in the side as well.

Dynamo Zagrebs equalizer should not have stood against Porto.

And Gent v Lyon was a bit mental. Gent down to 10 men, go a goal down, equalize, then give a penalty away and get another red card in the 89th minute and then see Sels save Lacazettes penalty. With Zenit winning away to Valencia group H looks good.
It was very enjoyable indeed. Was impressed by the Belgians really. Good passing, great pressing, attacking-minded. They were a pleasure to watch and really epitomize the new policy of Belgium's football institutions. It took them 10 years to train decent players but now they are reaping the benefits. Good to see.
Lyon were terrible especially Gonalons. Lacazette would have had a hat-trick had he been in form and Lyon certainly would have won that had Fekir been fit. But check out this Gent side. Reckon they won't go down without a fight in this group!

Chelsea would have been fine with a draw - Porto are a decent European side at home - not lost in quite a while I think they said on BT.

Will still get through...

Arsenal was the real disappointment - and with Bayern Munich to come it doesn't look great for them at all.

They won't want to be stuck in the Europa league either.

Though if Arsenal went into the Europa League and did well, they would get more coefficient than the inevitable first knockout round exit from the CL.

Think Pep should put him back on the bench.

Barcelona vs Leverkusen was totally Leverkusen on the first half. Barcelona could change the game on Leverkusen's tiredness but it was a nice performance from the german side, they just missed being consistent the whole 90+ minutes.

And Bayern did very well. 3 of the 5 goals in above 10 minutes (almost a dejavu).

what a game in Leverkusen that was. Leverkusen 2:0 up, then 2:4 down with 5 minutes to go and Chicharito missed the winner for Leverkusen in the additional time....so, 4:4

Yeah, such an entertaining game between Leverkusen and Roma. Roma turning the game around to 2x4 was already really impressive to see but as a plus Leverkusen surprisingly could reach the fourth goal.

Be interesting to compare those numbers with this years numbers with the significant increase in money the clubs will be getting.

Madrid/PSG was as shit as the corresponding fixture. Trapp came out of his goal uncautiously which caused the solitary goal of the game. The rest was shit. Very, very shit.

Good night for City - a solid win and already through from what seemed like a tough group.
