I didn't want to make this comparison as the situation is a bit different now. Juventus had superb side back then and outplayed Utd at Old Trafford in the 1st leg but Utd really dug in to get through to the final against Bayern. Tonight we saw a spirited Spurs side against a limited Juve side. They didn't do much after going 2 goals up and it looked like Allegri had zero plan B as he had no strikers to come off the bench if things weren't rosy on the pitch.
Very good first half, very poor second one. Entertaining game all round though. I look forward to the 2nd leg, hopefully with Dybala playing for Juve. Douglas Costa really isn't fulfilling all the promise that was put him all those years ago (which is probably why he plays for Juventus and not Bayern).

I think the officials saw that no one was making any effort to score a goal and decided to call it a day. Not playing by the book but I can understand that. The game was a total bore after Eriksen's goal went in.
