We had Reina for 3 seasons. Vaguely remember having a keeper as good as that now.

Watch out for Sevilla second half, they always step it up then at home.

Reina was nowhere near as good as De Gea.

Y'all should have watched Donetsk/Roma. Roma were good in the first half with Dzeko wonderpass to set up new Turkish sensation Ünder. However, Donetsk came back in the second half and scored two (the second a delicious free-kick by Fred who's apparently joining a Manchester side but I don't know which one). Looking forward to the 2nd leg.

At his peak he was fantastic, for a couple of seasons easily the best in the league. De Gea is better than Reina ever was, agreed. But the gap wasn't as big as you're implying.

But saying that, Reina's drop in quality happened almost overnight. It was depressing how fast he went from being the best in the top flight to being not even good enough for Liverpool, a team on the struggle at the time. De Gea on the other hand looks like the real deal, long term world class.

It will be a shame when he fucks off to Real.

He did. But it's easy to forget, we're talking the best part of a decade ago.

Like I said though, the younger Spaniard is the better keeper.

Oh yeah De Gea is the better keeper no doubt about that. However Reina was superb for a fair bit for us for a while, before he regressed badly. Looked ok at Napoli though, and watching him I'd still have him in over Mignolet.

Good results for all the English sides, Manchester United should finish Sevilla off at Old Trafford. Watched Donetsk tonight and they could be a surprise package this season, certainly a good chance of reaching the quarter finals now.

In these last years the poor european results are due to the great strength of Spanish football.
