Right. So making a prediction on a footballing forum shouldn't be bothered with unless it's going against what is most likely?
it is as insightful as stating that man city will win the prem, tho to be fair saying something that isn't already tediously self-evident is probably asking too much of you

I predicted 16 teams playing over 16 matches rather than predicting a single team to win the league having won their last 16 league games and having a 14 point lead. There are a few predictions amongst the 8 that are far from obvious, the Spurs/Juventus and Real/PSG match ups for example. Both could go either way.

also don't really get why you imply that a team sitting 7th in the prem would normally be favourites against a side that got to 2 finals in the last 3 seasons, during which the only leg they lost was after extra time? do you even watch this sport?

Firstly, I didn't say or even imply they would "normally be favourites". Secondly, is this the same 7th place team that have just overcome Real Madrid, the current champions and most successful ever European team, with a 4-2 aggregate?

not sure how good your grasp of english is but "sneaky feeling" implies that last year's finalists aren't favourites to go through? yes, a real and dortmund side at their absolute worst in years. i know liverpool haven't been in europe proper for ages but you should know that round-robin and knockout matches are worlds apart

Not a favorable draw for us, but could have been much worse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Tottenham to sell Kane in this transfer window, but even if he stays I think we have a 60% chance of going through to quarter-finals.

The chances of Kane being sold in the January transfer window are approximately 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%.

Also, I don't know why, but Kane strikes me as being the type of player that has zero curiosity in terms of how he could adapt to other leagues, a comfort zone player if you like. I suspect he will be at Spurs until they no longer want him which will please Spurs fans.

When Man Utd offer him £300k/week in the summer I'm sure we'll see that Spurs devotion tested.

He's contracted until 2022 and Spurs will want something ludicrous like £150m for him. Even United wouldn't pay that so what they are willing to give him in wages is irrelevant.

I honestly don't see him going to United. He'll have better options if he keeps this scoring rate up.

He doesn't strike me as a man of the world, so I can't see him upping sticks and moving abroad at all. So it's City or Utd when the heat comes on for Spurs over the next few seasons if they are still just hovering around without a real shot at winning much, or with the stadium to pay for and the relatively poor wages those players there are on. Stranger things have happened.

He apparently doesn't strike people as someone who would move abroad... based on what exactly?

There are very few English players that could move abroad and get paid as much or more than they do here.

I second Dzig's post. Name me one english player/pundit who is curious of continental football.

Just a feeling I get when I hear him or watch him. He may indeed prove me wrong, though I doubt it.

It seems only Liverpool players get praised for being 'loyal servants' if they stay at one club for most of their career. If players of other clubs haven't moved on by 24 they're 'comfort zone players' with 'zero curiosity'.

Come on. That's poor.

I didn't say it was a bad thing. Effectively, what I'm saying about Kane is what I'd have said about Gerrard or Rooney 10-15 years ago. I could never imagine either player making the move abroad and trying their hand on the continent.

Did Gareth Bale strike anyone as particularly worldly before he left for Real Madrid?
