They threatened his family before the game, so he was too terrified to do anything else, and now people threat his family afterwards.

Football is long dead, assassinated by lucre.

Aye, I know, it was a throwaway comment. Just another reminder that some people take sport way too seriously. Don't really understand those that don't have sympathy for Karius. Pathetic.

Whether you like Liverpool or not, it's hard not to like Jurgen Klopp.

What a legend lol.

Klopp is awesome.

No, being wrong regarding Karius not having what it takes and him being a disaster waiting to happen. It would have been nice if he could have waited another couple of games to prove me right mind.

But you continue to cling on with those fingernails.
Fucking hell Pags you got a vendetta going against Karius for what reason I don't know.

He's made two huge mistakes (the first of which will be disallowed by many refs, btw: http://www.askasoccerreferee.com/interfering-with-the-goalkeepers-release-of-the-ball-2/) which, and correct me if I'm wrong, were his two first big mistakes all season.

Meanwhile, he's kept more clean sheets than anyone in the CL and his clean sheets per games played betters any other goalkeeper in the Premier league.

I'm not saying his performance on Saturday wasn't horrible, it was, but my word have you been waiting for the moment. You're calling people out in a horrible I told you so-manner when most reasonable people would just feel for the guy. He's been very good (ALL his numbers this season stack up well to "world class" keepers) and he fucked up. You were right in one game and wrong the other 33 that he played (https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=340145.msg16059201#msg16059201).

Someone who is a "disaster waiting to happen" doesn't produce those numbers behind our defense and one game doesn't change that. And no I don't think he's God's gift to football or anything, but you've been going way over the top and I've just not had the energy to call you out on it because I'm too pissed off at Sergio Ramos. I feel for Karius, I do, and I thought most people capable of empathy would.

All very nice Bilo. But I said what we saw last season was a purple patch and he wasn't good enough despite that. Decent keepers don't produce the fuck ups he did in a season, never mind a single game. If the noises coming out of Anfield that I've heard are true and Klopp stubbornly sticks with him this coming campaign, it will be again proven to be the case. He will hold us back, we need a keeper that cuts it and neither of our current two do so. Accept it or don't.

No as you can see by the bolded part I accept any given example of glaring mistakes he's made over the past 30 games.

Again, I'm not the biggest fan. I just think Pags goes way over the top re our goalkeepers just because the brigade he's fighting are equally over the top the other way.

I'm just trying to be the voice of reason as always, my good friend Geeb. I'm sure you can relate.

Another way of looking at it is a perfectly decent goalkeeper who had a dodgy first season (many keepers do). Again, him costing us in one game over the course of a season really isn't that bad, it just happened to be this one game.

It's debatable and you're treating it like something much less than that. It's annoying and frankly unbecoming. That's as blunt as it gets!

Unbecoming? Vendetta? Give me a fucking break. I'm sure he's an affable enough chap. But he plays for my team, doesn't cut so I'll say it like it is. I dont give a fuck if this upsets other Liverpool fans who can't see it as it is, or don't want to.

Be happy to stick with him if you like. I'm not and will say so. My fear is that Klopp will stubbornly stick with him.

Dick van dyke caused this with the push anyway on Ramos.Should have been a penalty.its his fault he glanced karius ever so slightly.

Karius will stay hopefully and Hendo Milner and most of the others as their overated one season bottlers.

Yes, no shame at all. You've exceeded expectations by a long way in Europe this season.

I'm enjoying it, of course, but it's not like you've embarrassed yourselves - Karius aside.
Yeah mate, who knows, without his errors the game would've been 1 - 1 with all to play. I think you could see in the players eyes though when Salah went off, it wasn't going to be their night. Hopefully next season we can remain competitive and go on another run, and try again! With more depth being added (and surely a new keeper), we'll have more options when things get tricky.

Still hurt like a bastard on the night to be so close - yet really - so far. I need a break from club football after that though, bring on Mexico in the World Cup! :D

He had a shockingly bad hour or so, that doesn't define his career or trajectory.

He'll get over it, the question should be whether you wanted a new keeper to be bought prior to the final - no one's mind should have been made up either way by that one game. If that kind of shaky performance develops into a trend, then worry.

He'll never be trusted properly from the fans, just like Moreno. There will always be people not willing to forgive or forget even if he did come back and looked like your keeper! And then I hear today on other places fans say now we have Fabinho, to drop Hendo completely and get him out the side asap, even when in the last few months, he has hit as good a form as I've seen him play. I suppose its the same at all clubs, there are favourites, and then there are players that divide the fanbases.

For something as egregious as the other night though with Karius, I just don't see him lasting much longer at the club.

We were outclassed in all departments ,even when Salah was on the pitch his threat was curtailed with consummate ease by the imperious Varane ,Firmino was marshaled superbly and Milner's entire contribution was made to look tired and uninspired by Madrids full backs.

I just think we need to accept that Madrid's team was littered with superstars and we need to stop tipping up for finals like the visiting poor relatives . I mean going into a Champions League final with Milner as part of a first choice midfield isnt going to yield the kind of success we crave and we need look no further than the monstrous performances of Modric ,Kroos and Casemiro. Madrid go into games with a winning mentality both by fair means or foul it makes no difference as they're driven to succeed ,fans can be sucked into this brave challengers diatribe if they like ,but if we're honest they dominated possession ,dictated the play ,neutered our attack and outmaneuvered our midfield and thoroughly deserved to lift that cup because they came with a plan and a bench that carried a potent threat ,we came with Solanke !

Can only imagine how exhausting it must be following 36 clubs from 13 different nations over the course of an entire season. You've earned a rest imvho and that Salty mate.

Whether he could get over that or not, he can't play for us again; he just won't be accepted after that.

You'll never walk alone? Unless you fail us in a final?

Maybe this will help him to come over it

Indeed, mediocre players must be moved on if they keep making the same mistakes, or just do not look good enough. We can't afford to keep dead wood in the side now if we are serious about a title challenge next season. Its coming up to 30 years since we last won the league, we must try and have the best players we can get or train up to become elite in order to surpass City/Utd and Chelsea.

The problem is.. In this video here is not a mistake made in a match as important as the Champions League final. Moreover, Karius' mistakes were two. In the same game. I believe that it can not be accepted.

Paggers is not wrong when it comes to Karrius not being good enough, he clearly has a mistake in him (or two). Imagine how good they would be with someone like De Gea in goal! Definitely challenge for the title.

Mignolet should be reinstated. I never felt as nervous in a red's keeper as I do, seeing Karius coming for crosses.
