in the prem we took the smaller allocation of 2200 for a midweek game on tv.
That's the full allocation I believe. They've given that to us as a final allocation.

it weren't in the prem. It was 2600.
May be just us then, probably police advice. We sold it out in a few days in the 12/13 relegation season and they refused to give us any more.

We've our fair share of wankers still. There was an unwanted record floating about a couple of years ago about us having the most arrests at football games since the turn of the millennium or something like that.

That day in Cardiff there was a lot of trouble and several boozers got smashed up in the city centre, so they made the fixture a monday night bubble trip last year (it was on Sky as well) so both the crowd number was horrendous from both sides. No trouble though.

Remember watching a documentary a few years back when Cardiff were notorious, and your lot went there and had them on the run. Always thought Bristol city had a few headcases. Must be the cider.

1984 and 2008 spring to mind when they've visited us.

It's a shit allocation.Their ground holds about 33,000 now with the Ayatollah tier, doesn't it? Not like they need all the space for home fans.
Should be allowing a good 6,000 away fans if need be.

Got old friends who live in Cardiff and we went to a game at Ninian Park years back. A 2-2 draw against Wolves with a young Cameron Jerome netting a brace before Wolves made the comeback. Cracking old ground, the new ground is horrible. We took around 1,500 back in 2014 for an FA Cup game at around £15 a ticket. We'll probably never take that many there again. Think we're due to go at the end of the month so we'll probably bring around 500.

Every single time I've been there we've been kept in the ground which was laughable. Been in every boozer Near and they are all perfectly sound.

Reading away, next Tuesday has now sold out. 4300 which is superb imo. Can't really use the new ground excuse because we have played them a couple of times over the last few seasons. Cheap tickets would be my guess, and maybe appointing a new manager pushed it over the finishing line.

Why is a Blunt so active on a Championship thread?

Rochdale and Bury are your colleagues. Converse with them.

Trouble the time before last, around the ground and in town. No surprise we wouldn't give a massive allocation. There is no need to give more anyway, only Bristol last night and Brum last season have sold out since we have been back down here. The new part is closed anyway so capacity is back down to 27k.

But surely the new part would be opened if needed.

Over a million live in Brum yet less than 2K travel to cheer on the club carrying the city's name to Nott'm.
Kinda puts Morecambe's 74 at Meadow Lane into context, aswell as our 375 or so at Meadow Lane today.

It sold out two weeks ago, the club can only sell what they've been given.

Not sure all are. There's one near Ninian Park station which is suffering subsidence.
